Help for breakage/frizz/flyaways at roots/scalp?

Hi guys,

I have always had short frizzy hairs at my roots but they seem to be worse than ever these days. Any advice on how to treat? I have fine 3c hair and a very simple "routine"--wash/condition/style/air dry once a week, using only my fingers as combs, and I try not to manipulate my hair too much. I use drugstore products but am considering going no 'poo. Any advice for make-at-home or inexpensive treatments would be great! Thanks.

i have the same problem as you. when i wear my hair in a pony tail it just looks like i have huge frizz and idk where the breakage is coming from. I dont use a comb or brush anymore and havent for months.

Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie really helps smooth my frizzy edges and roots. It works especially well on wet hair that's been conditioned. Just apply it and use a Denman brush or a cheap makeshift (I use an Annie detangling brush) and it smooths your hair.
