I've been posting so much and no one is answering. I'm stressed and tired of this.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ ON. PLEASE. I WILL LOVE YOU FOR LIFE. PLEAAAAAAAAAASE READ ON.

I've tried gel on wet, damp, dry hair, I've slept with it in my hair and it just dried it out.. and dandruff was born. Mousse increases my hair. I have a big face and a small body and my hair makes it worse

I don't know anymore... I want to kill myself. I have too much volume, I look like a flipping poodle. I can't thin it out or straighten it..

All the cheap gels INCREASE the volume. I DON'T WANT THAT (under 10 dollars):banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
I'm actually pulling out hair right now.

If you're thinking that I'm stupid to kill myself because of this, I'm going through a lot being called a poodle every single day. "YOU'RE SO POOFY!"
And I've been braiding all day and everyday.

I'm crying. I need help. Please. Anyone. I don't care about my CG anymore. PLEASE help. help help help.

I saw your other post with a pic on it...and for me i think your hair is beautiful...its not thickest, ive seen a lot more thicker hair..i use to hate my hair!!! I use to straight it and then curl it so it wont have frizz.every.single.day. ..but i learned to love it..i always say to myself that if you dont like something about yourself, stop trying to change it, it's only going to make things harder, instead make it better (if that makes sense lol) you just gotta learn how to love yourself you know...other peoples opinion dont matter..and i suggest if you have a lot of frizz then rock the frizz, u should go search "shamelessmaya" on youtube she's bald now but watch her curly hair vids and somewhere out there is the right product for your hair you just to keep looking :)

I think your hair is beautiful.

Please don't let other people's mean-spirited comments affect you so much. I know that's hard.

Is there a teacher or a counselor or someone who handles bullying at your school? I hope you're able to connect with her or him and get some support.

    Hang in there.

Your hair is beautiful girlie! Your volume isn't overwhelming at all. I'd say it's a pretty normal amount of volume for someone with wavy hair. Do you know any of your properties? (porosity, density, etc.) Those things help determine which products would fit for you. Please don't pay attention to anyone's nasty comments, going through high school myself I know exactly what you're going through. Just remember that these people won't matter in a few years once you're in college, and try sticking up for yourself! When you have confidence, you'll find bullies suddenly become a lot more pathetic and less hurtful.

Hmmm, gels can do the same thing to me and mousse isn't even in the question. You have nice waves though, but I know wavy hair can be just a frizzy as curly hair. Applying product smaller section by section helped my hair with puffiness tons do not forget a leave in because with out it, it could cause frizz, but If your that frustrated with your hair and cant deal with it you could get a relaxer (leaving it on for minimal time), or keratin (but those are pricey). If you relax it you won't have to deal with it .Just realize that it's permanent and without proper care can damage the hair.

You have said you want to kill yourself. Do you truly mean it? If you are truly thinking about suicide, tell your counselor, your parents or a trusted teacher immediately. You also need to have your parents and your principal intervene on your behalf for any bullying that's going on.

You have said you want to kill yourself. That's very extreme. Do you really mean that, or you are saying it for effect?

If you really mean it, there is something going on not just with your hair, but with your mind and you should seek professional help.

On the other hand, if you are just saying you want to kill yourself for effect - as an exaggeration of how you really feel, and/or to simply draw people to this thread, that's not cool at all.

    Thank you for saying this.

No, I truly DO want to kill myself. I really have never cared about my appearance, but all of a sudden BAM I find everything about myself terrible.
Also, being with a popular friend that has hair that everyone loves brings me down so much. I sit there with a high ponytail that is dead and gross. I literally sit there ignored while she gets compliments on her straight and shiny hair.
Our school counselor does NOT help, and it's summer right now... My parents? I don't have a dad (well I did, but you know) and my mom chooses favorites with her kids.. I'm not one of them. I really have asked this question a million times and now this is where I finally snapped. I have tried to kill myself already. I keep failing. It's not an effect, it's how I truly feel.

Please seek some help. You need to learn to love yourself. When I was younger I felt very similar things you are stating here. It was hard to be different from what the "popular" kids looked like. I wish I knew then what I know now. I now understand that my differences are what makes me beautiful.

So please go talk to someone. Get some help and learn to go rock your beautiful bad-@ss self!!

Maybe try L.A. looks sports gel? It super hard hold, really cheap, and you can get it from Walmart! I love it. It's a HG for me! I hope you figure out how to calm down your hair and learn to love it!

Please get off this website right now and call up the crisis hotline number in your area. They have resources, so just ask the person you speak to for info about free and low-cost mental health clinics in your area.

Feeling suicidal - regardless of what's causing it - is not normal and you are a danger to yourself. You know this because you already made one suicide attempt. Also, the world would be at a great loss without you in it.

I know you're overwhelmed right now and feeling really bad about yourself, but the fact that you're being honest w/us about how you feel shows you are searching for the help you need, and that is great.

You just need a little help right now and there's nothing wrong with that. So please, contact the hotline and come back here (when/if you feel like it) to let us know how it all went.

Even if your brain is telling you right now that there isn't much to be hopeful about, there's plenty of hope for you.

Honey, PLEASE go get some help. I've been in your situation, and suffered for a long time because I didn't want anyone's help, which only made it worse. I've got major depressive disorder (very serious depression) and severe anxiety and have been battling both since seventh grade. I was suicidal for several years and even attempted suicide my senior year of high school. I'm begging you, GET HELP. ANYWHERE. Hell, I'll even give you MY phone number if you really have no one to talk to. There's light at the end of the tunnel. I promise. If I can do it, so can you. Chin up! I guarantee, you're a hell of a lot stronger and a hell of a lot more resilient than you give yourself credit for! GO GET HELP! NOW!!!!!

Yes you need help. Your hair is just the last straw. More is going on here.

Your hair is gorgeous. It's long and thick and very healthy looking.

As a teen we are often suicidal over what seems so important. (Speaking from experience) But as an adult you find out what real problems are. (Sounds bad, but bear with me..)

The point is it's not so bad now. (As a teen) Get help, then search YouTube for your hair type and watch some videos. Try some stuff. It'll be ok.

We'll be here when you're better. ((Hugs))

If you have thoughts of suicide, immediately call, if in the U.S., 1-800-273-8255, National Suicide Prevention Hotline, a hospital, or the local police for emergency help. Please free free to talk about your depression, and let members here encourage you or help you with solutions to problems. But, the boards are NOT an appropriate place for threats to commit suicide. If you are suicidal, contact a professional suicide counselor immediately. Please don't try to go it alone.
