Removing henna? Please, please, please

I have naturally light brown hair, but in November, I wanted to try a red color, so I used henna. It looked lovely for a while, but it did not fade as the bag had advertised. Now, my hair is completely two-toned, and I just want it to look uniform again. Would this method work?
Henna Hair Color: Removing Henna Naturally | Morrocco Method
I don't want to bleach it (damage) or dye it because I heard dye doesn't react well with henna. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I want the brown color back
Thank you!

Here's a couple of threads that may help you: Successful henna removal. Yes, you are reading this correctly.
for the desperate: henndigo & chemical dye removal tip!
You can also try searching for information here on NC. Good luck!
ETA: Just adding this as a warning to anyone reading this thread who's considering henna and isn't sure. It should be considered VERY permanent, as in you have to grow it out permanent. If it's BAQ you can dye over it, but sometimes you will still get red shine in the sun. I have henna on my ends that's over three years old and still bright copper on my grays. If you're not sure you want the color, use something else instead. And strand testing first is always a good idea!

This will not remove the henna itself--henna bonds to the keratin, which is why it's so difficult or impossible to remove. It just removes the resin coating. The lawsone (dye) is not removed.
