Third day hair: can it be?

I got some pretty impressive results today with a homemade spray made of water, honey, and olive oil. Yesterday I didn't even try--just let the frizz take over--so I am particularly amazed that this spray got me back to soft waves almost immediately. Also, it's raining out, and my windows are open, so this is the real deal.

Here are my questions:

Anyone else have experience using a similar sort of mist as a leave-in? Any perils I should be aware of other than lightening (which is basically fine with me, but also I think because I'm using supermarket honey the enzymes are probably pretty much destroyed anyway)?

If my hair seems to like this so much, should I be thinking about some sort of olive oil/honey thing for first-day styling instead of gel?

TIA!

If it works for you, play around with it! And post your recipe, please. Sprays don't work in my hair, but I'm still looking for that elusive way to get good 3rd day hair with minimal frizz. I can get softness, and curl, but my friend frizz comes along for the ride. :alien:

It was just like a one-pint size spray bottle with about a teaspoon and a half of honey and maybe 1/4 cup olive oil, plus tap water to fill (I have soft water). So I guess it's:

    1 part honey
    7 parts tap water
    1 1/2 teaspoon commercial honey

The oil separates so you have to shake it. Several hours later now and my hair looks a bit more roughed up--but it still has defined waves and it is not HUGE, which is my usual latter-day hair problem (especially on rainy day). So I'm still unsure if it's a miracle, but it's definitely better than anything else I've ever done, ever.

Think I will stick with gel for tomorrow's post-wash, but I may add a squirt of honey to my RO. It's the honey that is making the difference, for sure--I have used plain olive oil before with unremarkable results. (I'm all about home styling products.)
