Good news and bad news

Here's a chance to describe your current good news versus bad news life situations.

I'll go first:

The bad news is, one of my old copper pipes is leaking, so I had to turn off my water until my plumber gets here.

The good news is, I can't possibly wash my hair or worry about how I look today!

    The good news is....

I don't have ANY BAD NEWS to report. I cannot believe it. Oh Happy Day!!!!! :wav:

Who knows what bad news the day will bring me? (Don't want to tempt the gods).

    Carry on....
    2/c Coarse hair med. density.
    Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....
Every day is a gift :flower:

The good news is I love this hot weather, off to the beach, Lisa has a great new home, fresh tomatoes.

Whew the list of bad news could be long so I'll just shorten it as much as I can - various things wrong with Jeep, another sale on my house fell through, Mr Harley put his house here up for sale and when it sells he will be going to his southern house year round and I will miss him, worried about my job since I know the Boss would like to retire soon, my family is driving me to drink - to the point where I basically hate some of them (looking at you, parents), the older lady I take care of lost her home and everything she owns in a fire which means I have to do even more and I'm starting to hate her too, still can't figure out a way to get Todd fixed when he only shows up at night and not every night at that. Etc.
    --I'm located in Western PA.
--I found NC in late 2004, CG since February 2005, joined the forums in May 2005, started going grey in late 2005.
--My hair is 3B with some 3A, currently at mid back length when dry,  texture-medium/fine, porosity-top is low, middle is medium, ends are porous, elasticity-normal.
--My long time favorite products are Suave & VO5 conditioners, LA Looks Sport Gel, coconut oil, honey, vinegar.

    Good news:
I'm starting to learning how to drive on Wednesday (I'm 22 and here that age is a bit old to start to drive, but not that old since we aren't aloud to drive before 18).

    Bad news:
I don't have a car yet, my driving classes end in 3 weeks and I should drive afterwards in order to be able to pass my driving exam...
Bad news 2: still trying to write my thesis, but it's too hot to be able to concentrate on that
2c: fine texture, normal porosity, normal elasticity, normal-high density

Good news: My right foot/ankle is finally getting better from my accidental fall in April (I tripped over one of those cement curb-like things you pull your car up to while running in the rain to get to our hotel and I broke my little toe and pulled some tendons). Did a real job on this foot. Took several months to heal.

Bad news: Last week I didn't realize my left foot was asleep and fell getting up off the couch (this was more of a stupid fall as opposed to accidental). Now my left ankle is swollen and bruised.

I have never fallen in my adult life till this year. Now my husband thinks I should star in the "I've fallen and I can't get up" commercials!!!!

Bad news: I just got a $1500 medical bill.

Good news: the bill means I am one step closer to having my fibroids gone! It was for an MRI that I need to get before I can have a uterine arterial embolization, which will shrink the tumors.

Bad News: The college I'm attending now screwed me over with my in-state tuition and charged me out of state tuition instead. I can't fix the problem until I go back to Florida, which is a few weeks before school starts. So my classes are probably gonna get cancelled.

Good News: This situation made me realize how much I HATE that school, so now I'm going to be going to my dream school once this semester is over. Yay! (:

The Bad News: Summer is half way done, I have insulin resistance ( got to lower sugar intake)
Good News:I have another half of summer, I'm lowering my sugar intake, on my way to a more healthy life.... and that got me thinking, why don't I just go natural and healthy in everything, life, food, skincare, etc. :)

My divorce is scheduled for trial this Thursday and Friday. This is bad news bc divorce for a Catholic is a sin and a disgrace, I stand to lose A LOT and I always worry about what long term impact it will have on my kids. Plus, my mother has to testify at the trial and I know she doesn't want to.

The good news is it will finally be over. (Unless it's continued...which would not be good.)

Disgrace is an interesting word. People don't seem to feel it much anymore.

Here in the little village in which I live, it turned out our financial manager was "cooking the books." She was caught, convicted, and sent to jail. before her sentence began, however, she drove around waving at people just as if nothing had happened.

I would have felt disgraced in her shoes.

Maybe "disgrace" was a bad choice of words. I don't feel publicly embarrassed by the divorce. But privately, I feel I dishonored God.

Bad news.: I hate my job so much that I am seriously thinking of turning in my notice without having another job lined up or enough money in the bank.

Good news: staying positive has kept me reasonably calm. I am being proactive about this job search thing

Bad News: I finally got brave enough to step on the scale this morning...6 pounds gained...gag.

Good News: Hubby is finally on a fitness binge so I can join him...and lose that 6 pounds gained. Back to my low-carbing ways. Hubby has lost 10 pounds...so proud of him.

Well, the judge just continued my ****ing divorce trial! No idea when it will be rescheduled. My mother came out to testify and spent $4,000 for her plane ticket, her rental car and for someone to stay w/ my father...and now she will have to come back. So I have to listen to her mouth, the guy I'm sort of dating's mouth, I can't finish the renovations I need to do on my house and I'm going to continue obsessing about this crap for who knows how much longer to the exclusion of everything else in my life. And for every month this **** drags on, he is entitled to that much more of my retirement and I am responsible for that much more of his bills.

That was the bad news. Now the good news...

    hmmmmmmm

    I can't think of any.....

I guess I will come out of this a more patient and cautious person.

Got an 86 on my RT test today. My birthday is Friday.

Bad news: I will actually have to schedule my time once I get this job so I can sleep, study, spend time with my baby, and spend time with my hubby when he comes home on the weekends

Good news: My neighbors are moving! The guy is awful, and they've done a lot of damage to the property: cutting trees (mine included), zapping good bugs, tearing up the yard, etc. They even put up dead bird heads for a while (I had to get the DNR to get them to take them down, and pay for both a surveyor and a lawyer to keep them away from my property, period). They do have a nice dog, though. I know everyone will miss her.

Bad news: this is my second Sunday without water due to a leaky pipe, and the bathroom light switch broke. No one is available to fix anything today, and the repairs I attempted myself were unsuccessful and a waste of time and money.
