I need help with root touch-up....

I have only colored my hair twice with RC. The problem is when I mainly need to color the roots. I had such a hard time. I mean, is there an easy way to separate the hair for easier application? I don't mean to sound so ridiculous, but when you are in a hurry to apply the color so it doesn't stay on too long, it is really hard.

Any and all application tips would be greatly appreciated!

I have to hit my roots hard since most are white or gray. I comb out the curl and clip hair into maybe 8 section. then I squeeze color on roots from the bottle parting through each section with a comb.

Yep, that's the easiest. I have heard of another way: put your hair in sponge (or other) curlers like you were setting your hair. This makes many separations and you just have to apply the color between and to the roots of each curl. Sounds easy, but I haven't tried it.

My personal solution, get someone to help you. :) It's easier for them to separate and apply quickly while they're looking down at your head. Instead of us trying to get the right angle to see the roots in the mirror. :P

Thanks for the tips. I will try parting my hair in sections next time as that would probably be easier. I hate this gray crap! LOL!
