curl creams weighing hair down and Diva Products

my hair is almost waist length, wavy, and on the higher porosity side and a little thin for my taste, but not real bad. my ponytail is about quarter size. I have only tried two curl creams, but they tend to pull my wave out.

I have used L'Oreal ever curl and I can not remember the other one.

Any lighter ones?

anyone use the Diva Products. Thinking about them but, afraid to spend the $$$ only to have cur pulled out

    Maybe try something different than a curl cream, perhaps flaxseed or okra gel? Some like AG Re-coil which is a curl cream containing magnesium sulphate and hydrolysed proteins both of which are curl boosters. No idea how lightweight it is tho.

    Choose your ingredients and products based on your hair properties and dew points/ humidity. Many of the Deva products contain glycerin which likely won't work for higher porosity hair in many dew points. Not sure which product you mean but the Evercurl sculpt and hold cream-gel is very rich in humectants including glycerin. The Evercurl hydracharge leave in cream contains cetyl esters which build up and weigh my hair down.
    2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

    CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
    Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
    Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
    Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
    Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.

    I don't use the Deva styling products, but I do love the DevaCare One Condition. It's done more to moisturize my hair than anything else. My hair was BSL at one point and ReCoil worked well. The mag sulfate in it tightens up the wave a bit. I top it with just a pea size amount of Aussie Instant Freeze gel and that seems to work well for me. Obviously, you've got a bit more hair, but a little will go a long way. And it hardens quickly so your wave won't pull out so much while drying. Then once 100% dry, just scrunch out the crunch.
