No scientific evidence for oils stimulating growth AFAIK, most users massage them in - there is some scientific evidence for massage stimulating growth in alopecia IIRC.

I was just about to start a post about hair growth, then I came across yours. I'm also looking for a stimulating oil or something that will "promote growth".

I've used so far "Narurally you, Naturally me" ancient secrets growth oil. And over a period of 3 weeks(from the time I got my hair color, until I ran out of the oil) I saw a significant growth of about a quarter of, to about a whole inch of hair growth. Just 3 weeks. May not sound like much, but it was a big difference since I got my hair dyed blonde and all you could see was the dark brown/black of my new growth afterwards .

Their website , where you can find the oil is . I was a little skeptical at first, but once I gave it a try, it was pretty good.

Hope this helps! Happy growing !

I went through alopecia. Took a year before much of my loss even tried to grow. and none of the prescription meds worked for me. Finally turned to alternative remedies using oil blends. My cousin went through same thing and Wild Hair growth worked for her.not for me. I had more success with doo gro mineral oil free. JBCO helped restore thickness.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:

well ive made an oil mixture, that i use to message my scalp to help with hair growth. i use half argan and half evening primrose, or grapeseed oil, then put a few drops of rosemar and peppermint oil in it. its amazing. i think it really helps with growth.
on a side note: my bf loves it as well when i message his head with it, he pretty much begs me for it. he does have same dandruff problems sometimes, lately its been really bad, and lots of sores on his scalp. thanks to the oil its all cleard up pretty quickly. so that seems to be a bonus of the mixture.
    rosemary oil is m secret.

my hair: 3b, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
Oils and my own procuts are my hairs best friend
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.

You don’t always have to buy fancy, big name hair products for your hair. Sometimes the best products are actually very simple and found in your local Whole Foods store. What are these simple hair products? Well they’re natural oils. I’m a natural haired woman and know first-hand that natural oils are amazing for hair. They work wonders on my hair. And I’ve been using natural oils for years to make my hair softer, shinier, and even stronger. Basically hair needs oil. So be sure to check out these 7 fabulous natural oils for natural hair.

    Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is particularly great for natural hair. It’s loaded with nutrients, amino acids, essential fatty acids, as well as vitamins A, B, D, and E. And it’s excellent for moisturizing, deep conditioning, improving hair strength, strengthening hair, and boosting shine.

    Castor Oil

Castor oil thickens hair, promotes hair growth, prevents thinning, moisturizes, helps reduce split ends, helps to tame frizz, and prevents scalp infections.

    Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is great for preventing dandruff, promoting hair growth, moisturizing, strengthening hair, thickening hair, and preventing damage.

Olive Oil (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)

I LOVE using olive oil. And olive oil, which is also referred to as the “godmother of hair oil,” is great for moisturizing, deep conditioning, improving hair strength, eliminating dandruff, and also has powerful antioxidants that can help fight hair loss.

    Rosemary Oil

Rosemary oil is great for stimulating hair follicles for hair growth, preventing hair loss and greying, preventing dandruff, strengthening hair, and boosting shine.

    Safflower Oil

Safflower oil protects hair, nourishes hair follicles, moisturizes, and stimulates blood circulation to promote hair growth and thickness. And it is extremely beneficial for natural as well as dry chemically treated hair.

    Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil works great as a “sealant.” This means that it “locks-in” moisture. Sweet almond oil also nourishes hair, smoothes hair cuticles to control shedding, promotes hair growth and thickness, prevents hair loss, and boosts shine.
