Shea Moisture Has a Detangler??

So i went to target today to get some more SM raw retention shampoo, and the SM deep treatment Masque to try.. When I stumbled across the SM "Raw shea butter extra-moisture detangler".
It looks similar to KCKT, i'm guessing it's there competitor product?
I'm excited to try it!:-)

I think you're right. I saw someone review both products on YouTube and and found them to be very similar although she chose SM over the KCKT. I also bought the SM but am currently in the fence about how I feel about. I will try again to be sure.

Oooooh, can you post the ingredients? Naturally, I just bought a new bottle of KCKT, but one can never have too much, right? :toothy10:

Sure let me get on my laptop for that one, and my KCKT ran out yesterday, i was actually going to get more at target also when I saw the SM and got it instead.

That's interesting because I have been experimenting with mixing a little SM condish with KCKT as a leave in. I'm not sure if its helping but it isn't making my hair worse, that's for sure. I'll have to check it out.

It doesn't seem to be available anywhere except Target for some reason, and I'm pretty sure my local Target doesn't have it. I couldn't find ingredients, either, so I'll be grateful when Always@night has a chance to post them. Thank you! :hello2:

Oh, and I sure wish they'd get it together and get their website up and running. I keep seeing new products, but availability is limited (or non-existent, seems like). I'm not sure if these are being market-tested, or what, but I'd like to test some of them on myself! If they had an actual website, maybe I'd be able to see if some of the more elusive items really exist.

Sorry guy's I will post them later tonight when I have access to my laptop :-) I am still mobile for now. But it is safe to say for me KCKT has completely been replaced. I was blown out of the water, with the detangler.

Ingredients as listed on product: Deionized Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Vegetable Protein, Melia Azadiracha (Neem) Seed Oil, Algae Extract, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Hyssopus Officinalis Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf and Equisetum Arvense Extract, Essential Oil Blend, Citric Acid Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

I got these ingredients from the bottle I brought that you see in the picture in my first post. I copied the ingredients exactly as they appear on the bottle.

Uh oh. And Target needs $50 for free shipping, too!

Thank you for posting this! Is it just as slippy as KCKT? What makes it better? I do like that it has some protein in it.

The slip is the same a KCKT in my opinion, but unlike KCKT, less is more. I used it after washing my hair which was super tangles because I don't really avoid tangles when shampooing. I split my hair into four sections and used only a pea/dime sized amount for each. My hair was actually moisturizes and detangled. Since i had to leave the house it was the only product I had in my hair. Upon returning home, I misted my loose hair that I had worn out, and it was still as detangled as when I left.
So I would say its more moisturizing than KCKT. It works faster than KCKT. I used less of it than KCKT and the price is the same. These r just my opinions and results. Also it didn't weigh my hair down or flake, and once my hair was dry it was very soft and managable.

Just thought I add my two cents. I wasn't impressed with KCKT for slip. The CJ Smoothing Lotion I love is twice as slippery and it's also a leave-in conditioner and doesn't make my hair limp like KCKT.

Does it work with KCCC? I know the curling custard doesn't play well with others and you have to use it with KCKT. Nut if the SM detangler is similar, maybe it's okay?

I can't answer that I don't use KCCC, nor do I use the SM Curling Soufflé. But as far as slip goes It glides easily through my hair, and i used it alone, and left it in my hair, and it came out nicely. Although I wouldn't recommend it for hold, but i was going for big hair.

I tried this and kckt both were pointless to me since I can detangle with my rinse out conditioner

I really hope they have this at my Target. I want to try it do bad! I just bought KCKT like last week, but I haven't tried it yet. I love the Shea Moisture line, so is rather stick with that :p

I think KCCC is very much YMMV. I've used it with and without KCKT, and results are about the same. I've actually tried to get the dreaded white globs, and so far haven't been able to. I mix it with all sorts of things in my hand to see what happens. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have any problems with the SM detangler, though. Their products seem to play well with others however you use them.

:o, really?? Where I live it's usually the reserved. I think i'm going to try to only use shea moisture products for awhile.

I'm going to force myself to wait until the new products are in wider distribution. There's some things I'd really like to try, but I can't see buying more SM stuff when I already have a bunch to use up. Although I've heard the transitioning milk is really moisturizing... Has anyone used both it and the C & H Milk and can compare the two?

    Shea Moisture Bump Question.
    Hi:-)
I didn't want to start a new thread so I thought I'd ask it here.
As discussed earlier in this thread Shea Moisture has a lot of products.
I was wondering if anyone has tried the Second Brand by Shea Moisture makers called "Nubian Heritage". I have not, but I am curious to try. From just shopping around I can see that the NH brand is a bit more expensive than SM but that's about all I know. All comments and opinions are welcome:-)

I just bought the SM Detangler to see how it compares to KCKT. I used it today and I'm not sure about the results yet (my hair isn't quite dry). I'll let you know though!

As for your question, I haven't used that part of the SM line. I've only used the pink line.
