NO idea what is going on!!

Can someone please explain what is going on?? I am a mix of 3a-3c. I wash my hair, let it air dry and the curls come out great...except on the top layer where they are frizzy.

So, I washed my hair at night, pineappled it, wrapped it with a scarf and shower cap and woke up with AMAZING hair. I went to work and by mid day my top layer was frizzy again! I pineappled my hair when I got home and hopped in shower, again...the humidity gave me perfect curls but within an hour they were frizzy....what is happening???
Fine, 2c-3a, high porosity, high density, bleached ends.

How long its the top layer of hair? From what I've heard, short layers will frizz first. I have short layers in the front & can we say frizz ball? I also have all 3 hair & this is what I do to combat frizz. Only do this if your hair likes coconut. I use the Shea moisture curl smoothie on my ends. Next I use the sm curl milk from root to tip. Lastly, I put gel on top. When I do this for my Wng, no frizz.

I second curlicious13 on that. I put the Shea Moisture Style Milk on first, then I put some of the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie with that. After I apply those, I put some of my Krystal Eco Styler Gel on & I add some Jojoba Oil to my ends. I have Day 2 hair right now and it looks AMAZING.

I use Kinky Curly Knot Today moisturizing cream and gel...I very recently did an overnight olive oil and coconut oil mask. Do you think my top layer of hair is OVER moisturized? That it needs more protein? I'm a vegetarian.

What are your hair properties and what are you currently using? What is your climate? All these things can help you figure out the culprit down to ingredients. Too much of one ingredient can cause an un-balance that can be the culprit for frizz.
