Hair Growth: MSM and Biotin

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm considering taking MSM for hair growth. I'm already taking biotin but I want to up my dose from 3,000 mcg to 5,000 mcg and add MSM supplement. In case someone may not know what MSM is, it stands for Methylsulfonylmethane and is a form of sulfur that can provide for collagen and keratin, essential for hair growth. It is also said to increase the hair growth phase ( anagen phase). MSM is an ingredient in Hairfinity, popular hair vitamins. But anyways, have any of you ladies tried msm? How has it helped your hair growth? What's your dosage?

Welcome! Please run any supplements past your family doctor or a registered dietician, megadosing can be harmful and set up imbalances with other nutrients.

I just wanted to know if it has helped hair growth in people and their dosages. Maybe if I'm serious about it and it has shown noticeable effects on hair growth rates, I will ask my doctor.
