I just realized a change in my porosity.

So I have been low porosity for quite some time. A month ago I dyed my hair with the SM hair color (color in sig). Anyway, I didn't think much of the change in my porosity. For the past few weeks, I have been feeling my strands of hair. I kept feeling bumps- I didn't think nothing of it. I was so used to feeling complete smoothness. However, I began researching the bumps and reading on the change of porosity when dying hair. It makes sense now. I have been using products and doing my normal routine as if I had low porosity, but now I realized my hair is high porosity! I am scared that this is a bad thing. Today I did my first ever PT and DT. I used GVP: Joico K-Pac and Coconut oil as a DT. My hair was more shiny and felt better.

Anyway, the point of my post is: any specific suggestions for highly porous hair?

I forgot to put this: The only thing that confuses me though, is my hair doesn't dry super fast. I noticed it didn't take as long compared to before I dyed it. Does this make a difference? I would simply end my questionings by getting a hair analysis, but I can't for financial reasons. So I have to investigate on my own.

Maybe start using a leave in conditioner? Good ingredients for porous or damaged hair include coconut oil, hydrolysed protein, ceramides and panthenol.

I was really hoping you would see this because I always trust your advice! So far I did a PT, been using coconut oil. I will make sure I will also look for ceramides and panthenol! THANK YOU!

Do you have any suggestions on a good leave-in? The only ones I have (if you would even consider it as a leave-in) are more butters, which to me aren't very effective.
