Maybe Etsy closed her down due to the slowness of the service recently.

Well that's a bummer, I messaged her over a month ago, and have been patiently waiting all this time to get her feedback before I ordered the mudd..... not sure if I should have just went ahead and ordered (though maybe then I would have never gotten it) or if I am glad I waited because I may never see it. Ugh.
    My Hair:
    2c
    Fine, low porosity, med/high density
BSL - going for mid back to waist

    HG: currently
just washing with a low poo that contains protein (Alba Naturals Coconut) and using Suave Naturals Coconut as both a RO and LI. No stylers right now, but this gives me pretty good curl, definition, low-ish frizz, and it feels and looks good. Also an occasional PT (liking the Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula which has cones) seems to be key for me.

I've been patiently waiting too for over a month :( Etsy just sent me an email telling me
We are sorry to inform you that the seller is no longer eligible to sell on Etsy. As the seller has not shown any indication that they will resolve this issue, we have closed this seller's shop. They will not be eligible to sell on Etsy until they have resolved this case.

If you haven't yet, we recommend you contact PayPal.

    Thank You,

    Etsy Trust & Safety

:( So I just opened a case with Paypal. Guess I will have to learn to make my own okra gel!

Well I'm going to be pretty simple and see how it goes. going to just add in a preservative, oil for smell, aloe, and see what I get.

Have to actually find okra first though!

Just FYI...you MUST use some sort of thickening agent..or it will not work. This if anything is the most important ingredient to have!!! Besides the okra ;)...you can buy frozen okra from walmart or publix

What would be a thickening agent? I was just hoping to use more okra and less water

I use guar gum , others use xanthan gum. I believe you can find these in the baking section. Check out the tread going on right now;)

If you're adding aloe that with make it thicker, but when they say thickening agent they mean something like xanthum gum or starch.

If you want to resolve a dispute on paypal faster (and I'm speaking from personal experience), call their # for customer service. If it doesn't work the first time do it everyday and insist on speaking to a manager. You'll get your money back.

I wondered if anyone had heard from Erin?

I ordered gelee around the end of April and anticipated at least a 6 week wait. However, I missed the window of papal restitution for lack of delivery. I contacted her thru ETSY, no reply yet.

This is actually the first time that I have been burned in supporting small businesses so I guess I am quite lucky. I just wanted to make sure I was handling this correctly.

(My next step is to write it off:sad7: since I loved her products)

Thanks so much for any assistance.

This entire thread is about an Etsian! Apparently it's not permitted to link to the store, and I will not.

I think it's not permitted to link because there are probably some unscrupulous folk who are going to come here in guise and plug their own stuff.

Haha, you're right! This is what happens to my brain in the middle of the night (night shift worker here).
Things went very pear-shaped in the non-hair forum a while back - I didn't want it happening here too, but I guess if there's no link or promotion it should be ok.

I still appreciate your comment/ caution, we do have to be careful to dissuade self promotion and keep it to honest information sharing. I promise it's not me: I'm in the UK and I don't think customers would appreciate cat fur in their hair gel.

I'm amazed I haven't been accused of working for Komaza Care, I seem to mention them in every third thread!! Mind you there are far more Shea Moisture fans.

If you take a good sized wad of shed cat hair (not hairballs, that's just gross) and roll it around in your palms, you can make a solid little felted ball that makes a great cat toy. Might as well recycle the stuff, right? :p

We have four cats; a year ago it was six, but lost two of the seniors. Plus a long-haired dog. There is no such thing as hair-free around here--and did you know that teen boys/young men shed a LOT of leg hair?

That happened to my work laptop. It just shut itself down one day. I brought it to the IT guy who pulled out the battery, then turned to me and asked, "do you have a cat?"
