Curl cream vs gel?

Can someone explain the difference between these two products?

I've only ever used gel (mostly KCCC and LA Looks...BRHG sometimes on really humid days). I'm a 2b/c.

Curl creams are moisturizing and define.
Gels define and provide hold (especially for humid days)

Most curl creams are butter based, so the butter plus gel might be much. You can just use a leave-in under the gel or you can use a cream-gel, most of these are aloe or flax based.

I have before, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 4a because it can be heavy, a leave in & gel is good and not to light or heavy

I generally use a curl cream and a jelly product everyday. In the winter (or really low dewpoints), I use a leave in, curl enhancer and jelly product. In the summer (high dewpoints), I use a leave in or curl enhancer and a jelly product.

Products are really anything you want to make them. IMHO, any product you put on your head should be curl enhancing.

If I use a curl cream, I generally do not use a LI, but always use a gel on top. Hope that helps.
