I guess it's a compliment

bobbybobby Posts: 669Registered Users
I kid you not, someone asked if my hair was permed or natural? I was floored. I guess I take it as a compliment. However, one friend of mine said, "I would take it as a compliment. It means you have pretty hair. Considering you are 40 and a lot of people your age are losing their, that's a good thing."

People ask me this all the time. "So how do you get your hair to do that, is it a perm or ...?"

They never seem too surprised to learn it's natural though.

If I were female I would likely get that question more often and it would seem like old hat. However, being a guy I see that it can be a compliment.:)

Jeepcurls, you have become a favorite of mine since I joined this forum.:) Anyhow, I was spooked when I heard the question initially but since you are the seventh female to say it is a compliment, I see it as a definite pattern. My goodness, I feel empowered. Just don't expect me to actually do it unless there is a large sum of money. ;)

So Bobby, where is your online gallery of curls? :money:

I have't posted one yet but I did put a few on message threads in the curl men forum on the "post your hair" thread.
