Dry Ends/Fairy Knots/Retaining Moisture, Baggy Method...

Good day ladies,
Back in Dec 2012 I did a forced mini chop. The stylist cut about 3-4 inches of hair and also gave me a fantastic shaping. After this cut, my hair came alive! Now it's About 6 months later and my ends are a hot dry mess, plus I'm noticing knots!!! I haven't heat styled at all since my cut. I deep cond (under a hooded dryer) once a week. Not sure why my ends aren't retaining moisture? Even after spritzing every night along w/ a leave in or moisture milk on the ends, followed by a butter. Should I be baggying these ends? Have never done this...what's your method for keeping those ends moisturized? Thanx ah mill...

Imo if you havent trimmed in six months then it is normal you ends would be raggedy. I dust about every two months. How often is needed depends on individual.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:

    Do you have fine hair?

My fine hair needs to be trimmed every other month. Also since I live in a dry climate I baggy with humectants almost every day. Lastly do you use any conditioner or leave in that has protein on your hair?

All of the things I mentioned are for fine hair; it seems like thicker hair could just get by with baggying, and hiding the ends.

    A recent selfie...
I mainly try to stick with a protein treatment once a month. I found that my hair was breaking/shedding something horrible...the protein treatment fixed it up real quick. Yet I found my ends were extra dry after. Will take that advice and trim it some...also do more deep moisture/under the hooded dryer treatments as well.
    Thanx a lot...
