Thighter/stronger curls?

I damaged my hair really bad a year ago. Since that I really Try to protect it and my hair is at a normal damage Level (if you know what I mean). But my curls aren't the same anymore. I had 3a-3b hair (i have Long hair but i Always had Long hair so that isnt the Main reason). Now its just 2c-3a hair (with a Lot of effort). I am trying the cg Method for 2 months now. It got a bit Better but i hope that someone Could Tell ne how to stronger and thighter curls. I Loose my curls throughout the day.. ( i use a gel). Please help me!
The picture shows my actual hair.

Your hair is really pretty! Hair isn't actually able to repair itself, so once it is damaged it will always be damaged. You could try protein treatments to seek if that would strengthen your curls, especially if you have fine hair. Also, deep conditioning might help provide moisture. It might never look like it did before though.

Deep conditioning with coconut oil and sugar syrup (or honey) helps my curl pattern. But as Rainboe says you may need to cut the worst of the damage out, hair is dead so damage to the protein structure affecting curl is permanent.

How is your hair not damaged any more? Unless you cut all the flat ironed parts out it is, hair cannot be permanently repaired because it is dead. You say in the OP your hair is long and it's only been a year (~6 inches of healthy new growth).

If your hair is not growing in curly then it's quite possible your natural curl pattern has changed since you began straightening it. You can try to boost curl by experimenting with hydrolysed protein treatments, or coconut oil and honey soaks, or products containing magnesium suphate (epsom salts) like Jessicurl Rockin Ringlets. BUT the protein and mag sulph can both be drying so do not overuse them.

If it is mainly the lengths that are not maintaining curl you probably have more damaged hair remaining than you think. Even if your hair has grown ten inches in a year you must still have some hair that has been flat ironed in the past.
