    I have this one and use it a lot. I believe it's important to keep our bodies more alkaline then acid. I got their original book 1st and learned about the importance of having an alkaline body then got the cookbook.

    That's a toughie

    Favorite sentimental cookbook: The Holly Hobby Cookbook. It was my first. I still have it even though I'll probably never make tomato aspic decorated with curly leaf parsley.

    One I use and reference the most: The Joy of Cooking. I can easily adapt and put my own twist on stuff.


    Best recipes as-is: The Art of Braising. I never knew cabbage can taste so good.

    I love cookbooks and used to have shelves and shelves full. A few years ago I cleaned them out and kept only my favorite 30 or so.
    My very favorite is the Betty Crocker Cookbook my mom gave me nearly 40 years ago. It's really how I learned to experiment and learned to love the whole process of cooking from shopping to prepping to cleaning up. I still use it.
    --I'm located in Western PA.
    --I found NC in late 2004, CG since February 2005, started going grey in late 2005.
    --My hair is 3B with some 3A, texture-medium/fine, porosity-normal except for the ends which are porous, elasticity-normal.
    --My long time favorite products are Suave & VO5 conditioners, LA Looks Sport Gel, oils, honey, vinegar.

    I do have a crate full of cookbooks, but I rarely look through them. I much prefer to do my recipe browsing online as there are just so many out there. My FAVORITE site to browse is Food Gawker, not only because it has some fantastic recipes on there, but I love looking at the pictures! I'd say 90% of the recipes I make for my own food blog come off that site these days.

    Fine, low porosity, med/high density
    BSL - going for mid back to waist

    HG: currently
    just washing with a low poo that contains protein (Alba Naturals Coconut) and using Suave Naturals Coconut as both a RO and LI. No stylers right now, but this gives me pretty good curl, definition, low-ish frizz, and it feels and looks good. Also an occasional PT (liking the Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula which has cones) seems to be key for me.

    I have a cabinet full as well. And magazines and loose clipping and cards. My faves for everyday or pitch ins is "What can I Bring?" Or "Super Suppers". I also like Paula Deen's for comfort but have to adjust ( cut back on creams & butter) to make healthier.

    With 3 kids I need tried & true "real" recipes with stuff I have on hand.

    I grew up and started learning to cook w/ that one, too. It was in a looseleaf binder. The choc chip cookie page is destroyed! LOL

    I just bought Teresa Giudice's (Real Housewives of NJ) Skinny Italian. I love Italian food but have gotten away from eating and cooking it since moving to Ohio. Just skimmed thru it but it looks pretty basic and straightfwd.

    Anyone have that or any other celebrity cookbooks?
