3A hair TOO soft??

Hi there!

I have 3A hair and I have followed the CG method for over two months, but my hair doesn't seem to be reacting anymore. I have lost my curl and my hair is super frizzy. And it seems like it is TOO soft! HELP!

Here are the product I use:
-Co-wash: Suave Naturals Coconut
-Conditioner: Tresemme Naturals Conditioner
-Leave-in: KCNT
-Gel: Herbal Essences Total Twisted (Used KCCC once, but that is when my hair got too soft)

I do dye my hair with a box dye about once every three or four, so maybe the dye has killed the curls?? :(
Please offer any tips, thanks so much!

Sounds over conditioned to me. I don't know what your hair properties are but I would suggest a clarifying wash & some protein. The SN coconut has minute amts of protein but nothing spectacular. OC'd hair is exactly what you describe & you'd benefit from a gentle shampoo. If you have fine hair, look at adding in some protein to your routine too. Hair properties are much more important than curl type & I can't give much advice without knowing them (I'm on the app so if they're in your signature I can't see them).
 fine, thin, normal/(low?) porosity. Mod-CG. Usually I can't co-wash more than 1x a week, & sometimes I have to use T-Gel in rotation due to scalp issues.

    Co-wash: VO5 Volumizing
    Poo: Giovanni 50:50
RO:TN, Nexxus Youth Renewal, Alba Coconut
    LI: KCKT
    PT: gelatin PT, ION EC
Stylers: Giovanni mousse, TIGI Curls Rock amplifier (a-cone), Curls Rock Strong Hold Mousse
    Gels: SCC spray gel

I have thick hair with low porosity I believe. I did the slip and slide strand test, and I do not feel any bumps.

If you permanently dye your hair your hair would be more porous than it is naturally. You generally have to fry hair to kill curl, there isn't any hidden silicone in the box dye or conditioner is there? Your routine looks heavy on the humectants and light on oils or protein, maybe try a hydrolysed protein followed by an absorbable oil based deep conditioner (eg. coconut, avocado) and see what that does?
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
    Experimenting with: benign neglect

Thick hair is density. Im looking for the texture of your individual strands - fine, medium, coarse. that will be the best indicator of how protein might react in your hair.

Hi - I think you may be using too many conditioners. I have fine 3a porous hair and I co wash - if I feel my hair needs it after the co wash I'll do a quick rinse out - I don't use a leave in as my hair gets too soft and then too flat. I would miss out your leave in to start and see if that makes a difference.
