NC.com article recommends silicone gel for rainy days.

Yep! this morning I received an article in my email about managing frizz on rainy days. I did learn to not rinse the conditioner out of the top of my hair until I rinsed the rest of my hair. But - it recommended using a gel with silicone! I realize that many of us can and do use silicones, but most of us dont! May we please have articles that are more up to date with managing frizz in rain without silicones?

Perhaps a water-soluble silicone would still provide the same benefits? I haven't read the article yet.

Did they recommend a specific product? I know this site will pretty much whore itself out to the highest bidder. It is a business.

I just read the article and while at least of the anti-frizz products listed contains silicones, the advice regarding gel said to use a "silicone and alcohol free gel," which I take to mean both silicone-free and alcohol-free.

Yep, it looks like you read the article wrong. It's recommending a gel without silicones.

Myrna, I did a double take on that one too, I read the sentence a few times before I realized it meant silicone free and alcohol free.
