Jane carter curl cream HELLLPPPP

So unusually conditioner style only but I needed something to define my hair a little more. I found at target the Jane carter curl defining cream and purchased it. I have been using it for almost 7 straight days. I love how it makes my hair look polished. Well about 4 days in I noticed my hair was getting tangled. Normally I can finger detangle my hair in the shower with conditioner but this was not happening it was like I had just swam in a pool for about 12 hours without having t hair IRS back. Completely knotted mess. It took me 20 mins probably to detangle. The worst part was that I could get it detangled on one side, do the next and come back to the first and it was a mess again. So I sulfate free shampooed with curl junkie and nothing helped.

The next day I showered and the same thing happened. I tried using vo5 clarifying conditioner and it didn't help. I got out the baking soda and apple cider and that didn't help!!!! Frustrated I got y sisters shampoo and went to town. My hair was detangled finally. I thought I was finished with this mess. I did NOT use the Jane carter after this.

Well. Got in the shower today and my hair instantly tangled. I was in the shower crying and trying to comb my hair with pounds of conditioner. My arms were sore and my scalp was sore. I gave up. I shampooed again. It detangled but my hair still doesn't feel right. It feels stripped, dry, and chemically.

I'm thinking its because i used the same microfiber towel and tshirt to Plop that I used while using Jane carter the night before so today I got a new microfiber towel and tshirt.

So does anyone know what ingredient could have causes that in the Jane carter?!

Also....what now!! I shampooed two days in a row so I need to get the silicone and chemicals out now. Should I acv wash tomorrow. AHHHHHHH

Could be the butters and oils built up. Also, lots of curlies have started avoiding polyquats, there are two in the cream, some have stated they build up and are very difficult to remove. Extra conditioning or a deep treatment should help to correct the dryness, if the shampoo(s) you used contained silicone you should do a sulfate wash with a cone free poo to get them out.

Basically any clarifying shampoo without silicone. She's suggesting you use a traditional shampoo with sulfates to strip the build up off your hair and start over.

I have several Jane carter styling products and although I adore the smell and ingredients list, something in them tangles me too. I keep trying but always end up with the same results. (Condition & sculpt, spray gel). The nourish & shine works wonders though, which is why I experimented with others in the line.

okay....cancel that last post. I NEED MAJOR HELP. IM ABOUT TO SHAVE MY HEAD.

So...hair is gunked up again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesturday I noticed it was getting a little gunky but ignored it. Today I showered and BAM. GUNK city. My hair was tangled like a rats nest and my hair was....hm sticky? Idk if sticky is the right word....maybe just chemically. Idk how better to describe it. if you tried running your hand down my hair it would just stick in one place.

Soooooooo. I tried my CJ shampoo...and nothing. Hopped out of the shower and got BS and ACV and nothing. Grabbed the garnier shampoo and a little better. Shampooed again with the garnier and better. I instantly smothered in GVPCB and detangled. I kept some of the GVP in it so it wouldnt tangle up....then I conditioner styled.

UGH WTF curlies?! Should my hair still be doing this? Is it possible that my hair is that gunky that it needs days of shampooing? ugghhhh what if this keeps happing.

I would imagine you've stripped out all the moisture with all the washing and that's why it's so tangly and weird feeling. Maybe try a deep conditioner overnight and see if that helps. I wouldn't suggest washing it any more for a few days at least.

Did you recently start using any new products besides the JC? A new condish? Sounds like an ingredient isn't agreeing with your hair, but after all the washing I can't imagine there's anything left from the JC.
