Professional BC or do it yourself?

Are you going to get your BC done professionally at a salon or are you going to do it yourself? Why? I always wanted to do it myself, but, as I'm reaching my BC date, I'm starting to have doubts. Maybe I should get a professional opinion to see if my hair is healthy.

It definitely depends on your preference. A professional can cut it so that it has a shape (i.e. a bob) so that not matter how you style your hair, it will fall into that shape much like straight or relaxed hair. If your try it yourself, try cutting small sections first. You may discover that a big chop is not what you're going for and that a mini-chop works for the time.
