NC often loads really, really slowly on my computer. I have a new laptop, so it is not on my end, and yours is the only site where this happens. I do not have the phone app because I dont have a data plan. I am wondering if others are having this issue, and what the issue might be. TIA.

    I'm having the same problem... and even that slow that sometimes it just doesn't load...
    And I don't have any problems with any other site either

    Yes, me too, I could cook a meal sometimes in the time it takes to load : ) I thought it probably was not just me. So I am glad others are responding for the webmaster to take a look at what might be going on with the server.

    Sorry for the brutal honesty, but the IT team should be really ashamed of this forum. It loads slowly, it frequently fails to load at all, they still haven't updated the app for the iPhone 5 (which has been out since last fall, and I made a thread about it over two months ago), and the CSS is so sloppy that I often get the old style (orange font) when I load the forum.

    Using this site is beyond frustrating, and it is so painfully obvious that the person/people who run the tech side of it pay zero attention to the site.

    it has been exceptionally slow/sluggish the past several days. :(

    I just wanted to let you know that this week NC has been unbearable. I use a Mac and have tried both Chrome and Safari. Chrome is worse than Safari but they're both horrible. Is there a setting or extension we need in order to make NC load at normal speeds or is this just a problem with your servers?

    I get the feeling nobody monitors this forum because there are rarely responses from NC, but I was hoping I'm wrong. What's the deal? Are you working on this?

    Perhaps if I point out to them that their site speed is going to impact their search engine rankings, which will impact their visitor numbers, which impacts advertising revenue, they might pay attention. I don't think the site owners realize what a marketing asset this forum is for them, if they did they might put a little investment in.

    These are the absolute SLOWEST load times I have ever seen on NC.com. I've hit some slow spots before, but nothing like this. I hope someone is monitoring this thread and gets IT on this, because a lot of folks are going to get mighty frustrated and I don't want to see this site lose any more valuable members :!:

    I sent a message to Texturemedia. I suggest others do so as well. It is annoying that we cannot send a message to a PERSON, isnt it? Its like looking for customer service and getting a recording.

    I don't even give myself the headache of trying to get on from my laptop. I only will use the app which also hasn't been updated in awhile and I have a Galaxy S3.

    I mostly view this site from my desktop computer that we recently upgraded so it's pretty powerful. It should fly from page to page but................

    Update: It seems better today! Maybe our requests were heard.
