I am very interested in the CG method. I heard about it from a girl at McDonald's, then found it on-line which led me here. I've been curly all my life and have done everything from short-short cuts to flat irons to fight it. This morning I did step one along with no terry cloth towels, cold rinse, and leaving in conditioner, and I can't believe the difference it made. My hair is softer, curlier than ever and looks amazing. The article said it might look worse at first. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Unfortunately, I've been using all the "bad products". So, now I need advice on what products to use that I can get at Target? Is that even possible? Today I shampooed, conditioned, and cremed my hair and just let it air dry. Now what? or where? Oh, yeah! I've also ordered the book.

Hi, Melissaa! It's very possible to use drug store products and bring out the best in your curls. What products will work best for you depends more on your hair properties rather than your curl pattern. This link may help you figure it out:
Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics
Once you know if you are fine or coarse, low or high porosity, etc. it will be easier to narrow your product search. It will take some patience, trial and error but it will come together! I also use the search engine on this site before buying a product to see what others have to say.
    Good luck!
