My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance?

So FOX is launching a new reality series this January titled of all things, "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance". If you haven't seen the promos below is a brief description of the show.

"In this unscripted series, a beautiful “bride-to-be” introduces the most horrific “fiance” to her family and friends when she announces her shocking and surprising wedding plans to them in the series premiere. Over six episodes, Steve, the big fat obnoxious “Prince-not-so-Charming” and his obnoxious “family” will test the limits of his recently engaged girlfriend’s family and friends through shocking behavior. Our “bride,” Randi, a 23-year-old first grade teacher from Scottsdale, Ariz., must make it all the way through the wedding ceremony and final “I do’s” in order to win a million dollars.
This hybrid of a scripted and reality series will cover all the wedding events leading up to a climactic ceremony, including the engagement party, the wedding planner visits, the best friends and family introductions, the bridal shower, the rehearsal dinner and the walk down the aisle – all within the framework of the world’s biggest practical joke. But the joke is also on Randi, because she thinks that Steve is also a reality show contestant duping his family into believing the same charade. In actuality, Steve and his TV family are professional actors, putting the improv skills to the ultimate test."

Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you would watch this show?

I've not seen Randi and Steve so the following is based on my viewing of ads for reality shows in general. I know what schoolteachers make so I understand Randi's motivation. She has to marry him not sleep with him. At least I HOPE that is the case. Plus, she can get it annulled.

I don't watch reality shows. I think shows like this are sexist. Why is it always this gorgeous girl and these horrible men? Like that Average Joe show.

While I hope to marry well, I am not the type to marry for money and there is not enough money in the world to make me want to marry a dork like that last remaining contestant on Average Joe. Steve sounds worse than that guy.

Isn't it funny that even though I don't watch these shows, they are so pervasive that I know who is who? Some of my exposure has been work related but still!

In short, no I will not be watching this show.

ETA: I do love the show's title. Somejuan - I also like your board name. Very creative. :)
Do you know why they call it "PMS"? Because "Mad Cow Disease" was taken.

This show looks hilarious! I laughed out loud at the commercials, especially the one where he's dancing in his tighty whities. As long as they don't really get married, I'm all for it.

I absolutely love reality t.v., but this one looks stupid. I suppose if there is nothing else on, I'll watch.

I think they keep getting just a little more absurd as time goes on, to try to one up the absurdity of the one before. I'm usually all for absurdity. But this seems cruel, messing with peoples' minds, and filming their reactions to artificially horrible circumstances.

I think this one makes Jerry Springer look classy and dignified. Count me out!
2B or not 2B.....that is the question.

Right on! And this is the worst of the lot, if she really did decieve her family that way (very debatable of course I really question how much reality there is in these trashy shows). If I were her parent and after finding out she broke our hearts just for money (and sorry how much money wouldn't matter) she'd be close to getting disowned, or at least a very cold shoulder for quite some time.

Man! And to think that we can't allow gays to marry because it might hurt the 'sanctity of marriage.'
