Im considering getting a curly pixie for my 3a curls . I mean is it a good idea? Cause I've heard good and bad things about curly pixies. So some thoughts and advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!

I had a pixie for about 3 years and simply loved it. There are some distinct challenges, depending on your hair type. Mine is fine, so in the summer, or high humidity, it would go into an impossibly tight bundle of curls on the top of my head, or worse, a big puff of frizz. However, when it was cut short enough, and I was using the right product, it was the easiest, most fun that I've had with my hair in decades.
I had a few longer, side burn pieces and always had the longer row of curl at the nape of the neck (not sure if I am making sense), which I felt made the pixie a bit more feminine.
The growing out is, well, a bit on the horrible side. I missed my curls and got tired of spending so much money on quality hair cuts, so I have let it grow....for now ;)

    3a? 3b? Fine, dense. Porous.
    Finally sulfate free. Avoiding silicones.

I have no idea how to post photos, bec I wanted to show you how much of a style was possible, even for the 'big-ness' of my hair.
Just looking back at the photos makes me want to see the hair dresser again. I really, really, really enjoyed having a style - not sure if that makes sense. Normally, I am just trying to wear it long enough to be able to weigh it down. But this was liberating, and I like to think, stylish at the same time.

And I felt free to colour my hair in bright copper shades without worrying about damaging it, etc, as it would get a trim often.

I also, for the first time in my adult life, was able to drive my vehicle with the windows rolled down, and enjoy it ha!

    And enjoy wearing hats!

I finally figured out how to post a photo. This is an example of my beloved pixie! I think that I have managed to delete all examples of what happens when I am away from product, in a lot of humidity :)

I believe that most of my head is 3a curls, fine hair but a lot of it.

looks great! it looks more like 3b curls as 3a curls do not have that root curl, especially that short.

    3a, some 2c & 3b, medium texture, porosity normal, low elasticity :-(

And thinking that my hair might be a 2 bec it looks so straight!

I have photos from the summer that I seem to be unable to delete from my phone. Reminds me that if humidity is high, and product is scarce (I was at a cottage), that it is not possible to cut off my curl (I look like a lamb hahahha!)
