Embrace your natural hair

My hair used to be curly. Like 3b beautiful boticelli curly. I don't know if it's due to too much dying and staightening over the years, or hair changing its texture over time, or medications I'm on, but i now have 2b waves with some 2c at the front ends on a good day. For the past several months I've been trying to get my big beautiful spiral curls back. You know, the big curls I used to curse. Yeah, I want those back. But no matter what I've tried, they haven't come back.
Tonight I've finally realized I need to stop living in the past and embrace my waves. I went CG a couple weeks ago, and whatever my wave or curl pattern ends up being after my transition phase, is what it ends up being. No more hair envy. No more wishing. Time for acceptance, learning how to take care of my hair the way it is, and loving it.
I hope you do this, too.
Fellow wavy/curly/ whatever girl :)
2b/2c, Med density, Med Porosity, Fine/Med width, Med length, layers start below ears. Just my shot in the dark for my hair properties. Growing out bleached highlights Fall 2012, growing out dyed hair March 2013. Makes for a confusing mix of properties. Learning how different processes affect hair properties. Using lot of drugstore products right now. Determining what's right for my hair in my climate. Pittsburgh has a little bit of everything weather wise. Modified CGM since March 2013.
