17 and attempting to transition!

I'm a senior in highschool and I've recently been looking into becoming natural. I just took out a sew in that I've had since January and I really want to start transitioning. I haven't had a whole perm since about December. My edges were permed about three weeks ago. I think I have a type 4b or 4c hair (not really sure) but I dont know how to do this. I dont know what products to buy for my hair and I just dont know where to start. I really really want to go natural. I've been jealous of those girls with cute afros for years.
I dont really want to BC because Im not sure what I'd look like and I have two moles on my scalp which might scare people away. But I think that might be my only route since my hair is damaged already.

Please help.

All you have to do is stay focused. I am fifteen and transitioning and I was terrified because I didn't know where to start, either. On products the SheaMiosture is a really good line. Just look for things that have moisture in them and stay away from sulfates. I am doing the curly girl method which means no shampoo. While your transitioning find your go to hairstyle: bantu knots, braid outs, twist outs, etc. You an find out how to do those on YouTbe which has lots of natural you tubers: Glamtwinz, Shameless Maya, HairCrush, and many others. I f you want to talk about transitioning you can message me.;)

Also there is a website that tells you what ingredients to avoid in your products. Doing that will help you find products that are cg friendly.
