Another "intruder" Having a son who's curly brings me over to the men's forum from time to time to check what's going on over here.

I think it's great that there are so many guys who know how to care for their curly hair. Great pics!

In that picture I posted up there, the curls on my right side look like that because I'm growing back from a taper. And here's one more:

Thank you, LoveInBetween. I hated having curly hair when I was younger but when I started seeing males my age lose their hair badly in their early 30s, I began loving the idea of having curls. As I like to say, "Curls aren't just for girls."

Good to see the thread got a good response. Thanks for the compliments!
Anyone want to give me some advice on styling my hair? it's getting too long for the side part.
Also, if i slick it back, how do i keep it there with just the conditioner?
  • Spectre628Spectre628 Posts: 28Registered Users
I don't think hair can be too long for a side part, also I have had no luck with keeping my hair slicked back with just conditioner. I can do it with gel LA looks works well just scrunch it in after you shower the problem I always have is keeping it slicked back till its dry... but if you can make it to the dry stage then you will be good. If its a little crunchy when dry just give it another scrunch and your all set.

Both of you have looser patterns than me, but I've managed to slick it back after deep conditioning a few times.

You guys all have such beautiful hair! Gaah!

    :)
I love all the hair pics!

    (and yes, I am intruding)
Things I use: Olive Oil, Canola oil, rosemary oil, aloe vera gel, shea butter, mayonnaise, eggs, milk, bananas

Everything I use is 100% natural. I make most of them myself because then I'm sure what's in it and I'm sure nothing's added, it's pure, it's natural.

Things I avoid: Mineral oil (codename: Baby oil), heat (I'm a total, no hair driers, no straighteners, no curling irons, no flat irons, no hot combs...nada), sodium chloride

Growing plan: At least 6 inches longer in a year.
