Wedding hairstyle for curly hair...

In 2 weeks I will be going to a wedding and have no clue what to do with my hair. I would like a half up half down curly do since my hair is around BSL. I'm not sure about getting it done here since it's a long drive and we have to get there a day before so I doubt my hair will look good through all that. I'm thinking of getting it done at a salon over there but it's not a major city like Miami so I doubt I can find a curly salon. Anyone know a good stylist around Hawthorne, FL or a city close by? I'm willing to drive about 30 mins or so. Any styling tips? I'm not great at styling my own hair lol

I think you could style it yourself - I've been watching some YouTube tutorials and found some really neat ideas that incorporate braids and twists - which I think would look really awesome on curly hair. A waterfall braid or a rope braid is any easy way to do a half up half down hairstyle that looks soft and romantic.

Here's an example of one I've tried on myself that is quick and easy. Obviously the girl in the video doesn't have naturally curly hair, but the hairstyle still looks cool.

I know you said half-up, half-down but I also found very pretty was to wear the curls in a bun and leave some curls framing your face. ImageUploadedByCurlTalk1363478518.152781.jpg

Yes, do practice! Don't just look at something and think you'll wing it. It might not look as good on you as it does on the girl in the picture. :D Most hairstyles look sooo easy, but they are not. :evil1: Also, have a back-up, like a cute low pony with face framing curls, or whatever you find elegant and easy!

Here are some hairdos I really like:

I'm pretty sure you can get this do by putting a thin hairband where the twist is and just twisting some strands through it. :)

I like this one too because you can get this pretty secure with a bunch of bobby pins.

Both of these are so easy!
