Having a hard time with braid outs and twist outs

in Hair Type 4
I dont know if its my awkward length or what but it never looks right and i usually just end up bunning it. Any suggestions? Should I just wait till it grows out? It has been growing pretty fast but man am i impatient. IT is chin length in the front and SL in the back, and yes that looks crazy to me too....

Try frohawking it! :nemo: I remember not liking how they looked when my hair was shorter because I like my sides to sit past my chin. So I would pin back the sides and pin forward the bangs. Then I would put a flower in it and go. It was cute

I pin it up in different ways to get the look I want. Also I use perm rods on the ends of my longest part of my hair. Helps it to match the length of the shorter parts a bit better.
I ended up having to do it on freshly washed hair. While it was still wet apply leave in and then gel. Brush it through with the denman then braid. Leave braids in at least 2 days and voila perfect braidout.
If its the length that bothers you try different ways to jazz up the braidout. Clips barrettes pin up the sides.
Theres a great site called mizoutlet that sells really cheap hair accessories.
