Long hair getting stuck in blowdryer

I have long (almost waist length) curly hair that I diffuse dry. Just over the past few months, my hair has been getting caught and pulled into the back of the blow dryer everything I'm diffusing. At first I thought that it was my old blow dryer that I've had for years. So yesterday I went out and bought a new dryer and it's still happening :(
Does anyone have this happen to them? Any solutions? Any help would be appreciated.... It's painful and worse it's not very good for my hair either.
Thanks!
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]My hair: 2c, normal porosity, high density, I think I am between normal and coarse.

I use a diffuser and have past waist length hair. Never had any issues, I use the Revlon Ionic Pro stylist.
    3a with some 2a-2c, Medium/Low Porosity
    Co-wash:deva no-poo/Vo5 kiwi
    Detangle:Suave
    Leave-in:Shea Moisture/GVP conditioning Balm/AOHSR

Since long hair- I finger twist in big chunks, which helps till 5th day hair:farao:
    Gel:LA sports
Plop: Old T-shirt for 15 minutes ,diffuse

I've had this happen to me - my hair is not as long as yours (near MBL) but long enough that it can get caught in the back of the dryer. I realized that it was not the section I was diffusing but hair next to it that was hanging down and getting caught. So now when I diffuse, I try to keep the back of the dryer away from my head - this means I don't diffuse upside down as much, but more just tip my head to the side so that the rest of my hair isn't hanging down over the dryer.
    2c/3a, botticelli/wavy/'swavy (huh?)
fine, dense, normal porosity/elasticity, dry climate
My favorite brands are Kinky Curly, As I am, Curly Kinks, Curl Junkie, and Darcy's Botanicals. Also love sealing with oils (loving argan oil right now) and styling with jelly products (KCCC is my current favorite). Mostly trying to keep it simple!

Thanks Jsuzkelley.. Yes that is exactly what's happening. Its the dangling hair that is always getting pulled into the back of the dryer. I was hoping there ws some sort of gadget out there to stop the hairs from getting caught.
I'll just have to be more careful from now on and make sure there are no loose hairs dangling around the back of the dryer anymore. Thanks for both of your responses!!
