I did an overnight DC dry hair. The Deep Treatment Masque left my hair feeling kinda hard and my ends of didn't coil up as much as they usually do. Next time, I'll add some castor oil and honey to it. I can't wait to finish this product.

I never liked that stuff at all. same effect on my hair
It's a total miss for conditioning for me but gives me the best, frizz-free twistouts of all time. This is how I am using it up.

    S-curl No drip Moisturizer

Very Very effective for me. It is basically my glycerin water spritz (which I LOVE) with silicone thrown in. Detangles like a dream and makes my hair super soft.

I was just looking at a 3/4 full tub of this product yesterday wondering what to do with it. Only works for me as a styler but I hate the smell.
    Products in current rotation:

Terressentials Pure Earth Mud Wash; Elucence MBC (now really just for cowashing, leg shaving or emergencies); Curl Junkie: Repair Me, Deep Fix, Curl Rehab; AOHSR (retiring); Oyin Handmade: Honey Hemp, Hair Dew, J&B; Qhemet Biologics: BRBC (retiring- prefer Oyin HD), AOHC, OHHB; Jojoba Oil for scalp; Castor Oil or Shea butter to seal; Henna & Ayurvedic pastes when I can be bothered.

Still searching for the perfect stylers, but loving CJ CIAB over everything so far

Beautiful Textures Curl Definer Styling Custard-This stuff did not mix well with other products. When used alone, dried on my hair leaving a whitish, crusty film. This might have been a porosity issue. Curious to read other reviews on this product. Found it at Sally's.

Dr. Miracles Strong Hold Gel-liked this until I saw flakes on my edges after it dried. Will try to use less product next time.

I finger-detangle with coconut oil and then top it off with my deep conditioner. It works better than conditioner alone, saves product and leaves my hair more moisturized.

Prelim Hit: Ology Moisturizing conditioner. Saw it on sale so I thought id finally try it, its CG friendly and has wheat protein (my hair has been liking lately).. its surprisingly RICH and creamy for a drugstore ro. Gonna test it some more but for now I like!

Sealing my ends with castor oil. My hair cannot really handle castor on the length, but on the ends it works great! When im done braiding or twisting & I get to the ends and theyre all frizzy, I finger coil it with castor and it smooths them out like a moisturizer would. Butters and other oils dont have the same effect, weird how these things work.

Bask Palm Tapioca for smoothing purposes only. Another one I dont like on the length so I tried this on my edges, bomb. It SLICKS all the frizzies and holds till it dries, then the hold softens up & just leaves the hair smooth. If I want actual hold for a style ill put a teeny bit of gel on top. GoodTG

    Komaza shea butter lotion.
Hit because she removed the palm oil derivative ingredient and now it works on my hair. Soft, soft hair.
Miss is the scent. The perfume scent gives me a mega headache. For the last 3 days, I have been leaving the top off hoping the scent would fade.

mega supa dupa hit: elucense mb condish mixed with virgin pumpkinseed oil and peanut oil as a leave-in!!!!! :blob3: my hair has never ever felt so good wet AND dry. i had to keep touching it just to be sure.

supa hit: my self-installed havana twists lasting 6 weeks. only 2 twists fell out from the back where my hair is a looser texture

supa hit: installed 2nd set of havana twists and getting the hang of doing them better (wasn't so focused on direction to start the twist)

supa hit: shea moisture frankincense baby wash as a shampoo. this is much thicker than their reg shampoos. unlike their reg shampoos, my hair actually felt clean.

hit: shea moisture deep treatment masque (feels very similar to komaza califia hair cream that i love) and shea butter to install and seal the ends of my havana twists

hit: not using gel to install my havana twists

miss: not being able to find shea moisture hair color in black

Hit: wash and go combo - Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love Moisture Milk and Aloe Whipped Gel. I've been sleeping on this creamy gel but it is awesome. Goes on smooth and gives me a soft, bouncy and defined wng. It also works well with Tresemme Naturals Moisturizing Conditioner and Jane Carter Hydrating Smoothing Creamy Leave In Conditioner.

Jojoba oil as a prepoo, very detangling :D

Remembering that it isn't all things that work for all people and opting for a modified wash and go w/o gel. I am doing my hair so I haven't seen the results yet, but the anxiety bug stopped biting me when I made that decision, lol.

Using Matrix Biolage Smootherapie as a rinse out- my hair felt like a dream and tangles were a distant memory

AussieMoist 3 minute- my new HG detangler. Nothing is like it. Nothing.

    New discovery:

Honey and my hair do not mix, not when used on it's own or in a product (unless it is the herbal essences honey I'm strong since there is probably barely any honey in there). It is too sticky for my hair. My beloved Curl Junkie Deep Fix will not be a repurchase because of this. The honey clumps my curls, but after they get clumped the hair in them gets interwoven so that it is time consuming to untangle later. I am going to miss it, it smelled and felt so good...:sad7:

Curl Junkie leave ins are still my boo though; no honey in those. I guess this means I wont ever try Qhemet Biologics Olive Honey Hydrating Balm.

Well at least I found a replacement deep conditioner- Matrix Biolage is the truth! :colors:

Carol's Daughter Monoi conditioner and shampoo

This is the 2nd CD conditioner that made my hair dry and tangled. I checked the PH of the conditioner and it was 5.5, which is fine. So it must be something in it that my hair does not like. Done with CD. So glad they were samples, no money wasted.

Shea Moisture Restorative conditioner. A fail as a rinse out. Felt good going on, but left my hair a hard tangled mess when rinsed out. The scent is too strong for a leave-in. In the garbage it goes.
