Not feeling some of the washed out colors of dresses but the styles are nice

oh, thank goodness! i thought i was the only one who felt these pale dresses were washing people out. can't understand what Giuliana and Kelly are talking about - do they feel like they *must* say that everyone looks "fantastic" even when they don't????

    :dontknow:

whoa! doesn't Michael Douglas look more like his dad every day????

^ Joan Rivers will more than make up for that.

I like some of the paler dresses, but not all. Love Amy Adams pale grey Oscar. I am not sure if it is the most flattering on her, but the dress itself is stunning.

I think some just don't film well, but may look better in person. Kelly said Amy's dress was pale blue but I thought it was primer gray. Blech

I am in love with *most* of Zoe Saldana's dress.

The bottom... Eh. Several dresses seem to be almost pretty. I have had more 'meh' than 'ooooh' moments, so far.

I know some dresses do not translate well on film, but I agree with you. It does not look blue to me.

I do love dresses with a great deal of hand work, though.

Really loved Charlize Teron...girl is so beautiful
Hair: 3a, normal porosity and elasticity
My hair loves: Vatika and Bhringraj oils, adores henna.
My HGs: Bobeam's shampoo bars, CJAO, CJRM, Original Moxie's Hair Bling, Terressentials,

Isn't Charlize's dress the same exact one Ann Hathaway wore to the Globes?

I agree about all the pale colors. And for some reason there's minimal makeup so everyone looks washed out.

Zoe's dree would be perfect without that belt/bow.

^ It's similar. I think both are beautiful. A.H's Chanel had a beaded top & skirt and was more conservative than C.T's Dior.

    So far, LOVED:
Jessica Chastain (far and away the best for me)
    Zoe Saldana
    Stacy Keibler (shockingly)
Catherine Zeta Jones (so over the top and almost tasteless--I love it)
    Sandra Bullock

    HATED:
    Melissa McCarthy (oh dear...)
    Octavia Spenser
    Helena Bonham Carter (of course)
    Quentin Tarantino (gross)
Kelly Rowland (hate is too strong, but definitely a bad look)
Jennifer Hudson (I know it can't be but it looks burnout crushed velvet)
    Kerry Washington

    BORED ME TO TEARS:
Jennifer Aniston (of course, but at least she didn't wear black)
    Helen Hunt (blech)
    Jennifer Lawrence
    Anne Hathaway

This doesn't include random red-carpet coverage people, because Nancy O'Dell is always the worst dressed at every award show. I still blame her for Wendy on Project Runway.
In search of a lost signature...

this Tweet explains EXACTLY how i feel about that opening:

@OverlordMarie New #Oscars drinking game idea: every time I have to ask my husband "Was that intended to be funny?". #AlcoholPoisoning

OMG! that was painfully drawn-out and boring...

Some better pic's of Naomi's dress, for anyone who may be interested. There were only a couple fuzzy ones when I first looked.

I have adored her choices during this award show season.

Woot! Time for TWD. Oscars will have to wait.
