Leave in Conditioners: Store bought or Homemade?

Just looking for leave in conditioners that work for everyone, because I really need one, and can't decide to go with a homemade one or just buy one

if it helps I'm a 3A And I'm getting my hair cut soon from super long to a medium length. I also have really thick hair

I just want something that will make my hair look healthier and frizz free!

any suggestions welcome!

Good storebought leavein is Kinky Kurly Knot Today (KKKT) or
Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Milk something. Both can be found at Target. Good homemade one (which I
also use as a curl styler) is 3 tbsp aloe
Vera gel plus 1 tbsp jojoba oil. I use all of it on my hair. Adjust according to your hair length as my hair is midneck length if stretched (4a hair).

+1 for the KCKT. I tried making my own leave-in with conditioner and water but I get a bad allergic reaction to conditioner left on my hair and scalp! I can't even do conditioner washes although it leave my hair super duper soft.

I do make a homemade lavender spray from CG book and love it!

I'm a big big fan of the Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Repair Cream. Works wonders if you live super soft hair!!!

+1 on the Cantu! It is nice and thick! Very moisturizing. I ran out and bought Giovanni direct but its just not as good in my opinion, maybe for someone who needs something lighter.

No such thing as a product that works for everyone, our hair properties and weather are so different. You can't easily DIY a proper conditioner, you would need to get hold of cationic surfactants and./ or fatty alcohols.

Ingredients that can penetrate or temporarily repair the hair include coconut oil, hydrolysed proteins and ceramides, you might look at Komaza Care products which utilise these and many are at pH 4.5 which is hairs 'happy place'.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
    Experimenting with: benign neglect
