Keratin Research BKT

I wonder if someone has tried this keratin treatment I just found on amazon.
The brand is Keratin Research and this is their product

It s supposed to be a f/hyde treatment, but it can be washed out in a few hours after application

It has great reviews and an even greater price!
140$ for 1000ml!

Take a look at here

Honeycurls are you sure that argan oil in a keratin treatment affect your hair the same way ?
Have you used any keratin brand wtih argan oil enhancement?

Because BKT formulas are completely different to any other conditioning or styling product, not to mention the raw argan oil :toothy10:

MY hair, for instance, according to cg but also from my experience, hates protein since it s VERY coarse and thick. However keratin treatments gave me the best hair I ve ever had despite their protein content

So I dont think it s the same when it comes to bkts

Thanks for trying to reassure me, but I'm not even going to try it. My hair hates oil in any form, at any time, under any circumstances. If there is oil in the solution, it's going to contact my hair, and therein lies the problem--doesn't matter what the solution is. I don't know how BKT solution is any different from other solutions in that aspect.

I'm not sure I buy the whole protein sensitivity thing--I know...another of my unpopular opinions. But, it simply doesn't make any sense to me chemically--what possibly could protein do to your hair--which is mostly protein anyway???? Perhaps it alters the position of the scales on the hair shaft. I haven't read about CG so, maybe that will clarify it for me.

Oil, on the other hand, affects my very fine and very porous hair shaft, which soaks it up like a dry sponge, resulting in hair strands that are gummy, limp, stringy--almost wet in feel and appearance. I can always tell when there is oil in something, even without prior knowledge of the oil content.

I think each of us has different expectations for our hairstyles, which is why we claim sensitivity to one product ingredient or another. For instance, I don't like the well-defined, big, thick, clumpy curls some women favor, so I wouldn't use a product or a method that promoted that result. I like a big, wild lion's mane of curls. At one time, I thought my hair was "sensitive" to something in Curlisto Structura Lotion because when I used it, my hair looked like %@#*, so I pushed my huge bottle to the back of the cabinet and left it there...then I tried it again a year later, and it makes my hair look amazing. I also love how hairspray makes my curls look, but I'm sure some others would be mortified by their perceived level of stiffness and "dryness" of my curls and because they may hate the look or feel, would say my hair is "sensitive" to <insert substance here>.

    Just my humble opinion.

I just placed my order. Sorry, I haven't posted in long. Been so busy these days.
I'll keep you posted on the results.
I noticed the last brand I was using gave me amazing instant results, but I could not wash and go, and treatment was wearing out fast. I just ran out of it so I am ordering this one.
I wish they would BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL QOD MAX!!

I tried this one and wasn't crazy about it. I have fine wavyish hair and I was not impressed by it. I even left it in for a full day or so (instructions said you could wash right out). It worked ok...my hair wasn't as straight as when I used another and results didn't last long.

I did not wanted to review until a month or more after the treatment, cause every time I give a great review right away the results are gone within the next wash.

For us that were spoiled with the QOD MAX (original) we know nothing compares to it.

Keratin Research is good. Did my application a few weeks ago and my hair has been holding up pretty good.

It is not a wash and go, so I still have to blowdry my hair if I want is straight, but it takes me no time to blowdry and I can skip the flat iron. My hair is VERY soft also!

Maybe if I hadn't damaged my hair on an attempt to go blonde I would have noticed better results. I noticed that my bangs stay straight if I air dry, maybe because all that damaged hair is gone from my bangs since I trim my bangs a lot.

I can tell you something, this one is better than Kerapremium and any other I tried after the QOD MAX (in my opinion).

Thanks for the review! I just finished a bottle of Kerapremium and was hoping to find something better. I used Coppola for years and tried the new formula. It was about the same as Kerapremium and neither one is even close to the old formulas.

If anyone finds a good brand, please share the name and where you found it!!

Thank you for the review AphroDiva :)

Anyone else who tried this treatment?

I've just had a keratin treatment with Inoar around 3 weeks ago and, although it did smooth and enhance my hair a bit, I'm looking for something with straighter, more lasting results.

    TIA :)

bought this stuff on amazon. and was totally unimpressed. it pretty much did nothing! Used to use Global Keratin the original formula-- which i LOVED. then got the GKhair formula-- not as good or even close-- but this last stuff was the least effective.

I bought the tester size (4oz) back in October of 2013. It was the first time I had done this type of treatment, so I was not sure what to expect; however, my hair had never been straighter. I mean straight, flat, soft hair. It lasted about two months, but I was not diligent about using special shampoo or whatever you are supposed to do. I would never do it again, not because the product was not good. But because the very high heat from the flat iron broke my hairs pretty badly.

So I've had my bottle of this treatment for a long while now and I'm ready to try it.

Just had one question, it says on the bottle "Express No Wait Formula" and on the website they claim that you can wash it the next morning. I wanna know from anyone who've used this exactly how long am I supposed to leave this on my hair for the best results?

Like, can I just wash it off right after I finish straightening it? Should I wait a couple of more hours?
