Glad to see more curlies and wavies in catalogs and magazines.

Just got a new LTD Commodities catalog today and partway through I realized they were using quite a few curly and wavy girls in their photos.

And the most recent Allure magazine had a large article on curly hair with lots of pics.

I like it!!

Nice little blurb about Jessicurl products in the February issue of Woman's World.

I've noticed a lot more curls and waves in catalogues too.

Also in magazine/editorial fashion shoots - where they often have a ton of frizz that's obviously been encouraged and a very 'undone' curl. Yay! Frizz is high end fashion/cutting edge!
    UK based wavy :hello2:

Mostly waves, but curls and straight bits too!
Fine to medium, high porosity, medium density, very low elasticity
Highlights damage (growing it out), seems to like protein and need lots of moisture.

Cleanse - CJDF, trying out low poos ; Co wash- Uk chemist brands, Urtekram Rose or Aloe, Hairveda Amala Cream Rinse; RO - varies, Tigi Moisture Maniac, Desert Essence Coconut ; Leave in - Keracare natural textures; Sealant - argan oil
Trying out new things, still looking.

I have noticed that curly/wavy hair is more popular in the media in Australia as well. Models that have long straight hair were getting so boring.

Most of the Mail page in this month's Allure magazine was devoted to people thanking the magazine for the article on curly hair in the last issue.
Maybe other magazines and media outlets will include more things about curly hair (and curly haired models).

I'm still noticing more curlies in magazines and catalogs. Unfortunately they are still straightening most curly hair on tv and in movies.

I hope that natural curly hair is not just a fashion trend (80's/90's revival)  but a movement that is here to stay. Sadly I see a lot of supposedly naturally curly hairstyles that are not natural at all. Or they are just messy sligthly wavy hair or curls done with an iron.

I've been seeing a lot more wavy/curly/coily too. Sometimes it looks like the curling iron curls, but a lot of the time is seems like a natural look.

However, I'm still dealing with shallow people in my real life. But I guess it has helped identify who is a friend and who is a frenemy. It's kind of disgusting though.

Like we had a Vogue cover with Daniela Ruah (maybe you know her from NCIS: Miami) she is a portuguese actress with natural curly hair but she always appears with large wavy or straight hairstyles.

I've been watching a lot of late night comedy as therapy for coping with our current political climate. It seems like often guests come on with a natural curly look. Not always - I remember Nicole Kidman was once on sporting 2b waves, when we all know she is in the 3a-b range since the 90s.
