should i go short?

kryscgkryscg Posts: 5Registered Users
i have 3b hair in the front, upper areas of my head and then slowly the curls get tighter until they reach 3c starting from the middle of my head. i have noticed that if you cut 3b short enough, you might lose curl but that won't have with 3 unless you darn near shave your hair. i want a hairstyle like the ones below. An asymmetrical bob and my hair isn't too long so i would most be cleaning up veerry messy layers but like the picture with the girl in the blue shirt, i want the back to be kind of straight. i've seen some african american women get the back of their hair to go flat and neat when it's really straight.
would these hairstyles be possible or even remotely so? :) any help would be much appreciated.

Do you believe that before i had my hair cut in a bob (last week) i save that pic on my pc? ;)
I really like that haircut but i don't know how your hair will look after.
My hairdresser cut my hair in an inverted bob with longer strands just above chin.
    And guess?
When i've dried it curly, that strands merely touched my cheekbones :disgust:
Those strands tend to shrink a lot and look 'poofy'.
    Just look by yourself:

And this is how my hair looked like when it has been straightened:

Probably it would be better choosing a 'modified' bob like the one in that pic, but IMO a classic/inverted bob is not suitable for curly hair.

Good luck and let me know how your cut will be! ;)

firstly, thank you for replying xD
lolz the inverted bob is a cool look so it doesn't surprise me it has inspired others as well. and your curls looks lovely btw :) though i see what you mean by the shrinkage factor of the longer parts. I don't plan on cutting my bangs (i have always worn them curly. can't get rid of them) reach my cheek when dry

    Thank you :)
I've always had bangs but i had them longer than now (he cut my bangs as well as the remaining hair :/).
They were halfway between my cheekbones and my chin (when curly) now they arrive at half forehead :angry3:

So, have you decided how you'll have your hair cut? :angel3:

aww that sucks :( for years, i wouldn't go to hair salons just cause i always heard about them cutting too much xD

as for the cut, i still wanna try for a graduate bob, it might be fuller though xD i'm probably gonna ask the stylist what their opinion is for the final say. they probably know more than me and can hopefully tell me if i'm being delusional or not lolz

Keep sure he understands that you don't want your bangs becoming too short ;)
