Do hair products go bad?

I was looking through my old hair products that I haven't used in ages, and there are some that I know will go bad, like jessicurl. But I have a tub of Loreal Out of Bed texturizer. Does that go bad? Or could I still use it?

Yes all hair products go bad eventually... even if they have preservatives, they will go bad after a couple of years.

    "Ages" being? Months? Years? Decades?
They can go bad, despite the preservatives.
Some products have a little symbol of an open jar with a number on it, which gives you the amount of months the product is safe since opening it. Most of mine say 12 months. So to be safe it is advised to stick to that, but it's your call. I've used old products before without problems, but I'd rather not do it with anything that touches my skin.

Good point. It's probably at least 3 years old, if not older. I'll just throw it out.
