Finally got a GREAT cut in Miami

Teri at The Strand was recommended by a curly coworker. I came here and looked for reviews on her and everyone pretty much agreed she was great. I finally went to her and she is beyond amazing! She is knowledgable about my type of hair and recognized that I had a few different textures throughout that needed to be cut differently. She is also very honest in her product recs. I also never imagined that I could get a good cut for just $35! I loved her! Anyone in the area looking for a good cut should definitelh give her a call!

I made it! Tailbone length stretched, WL curly

Teri Laflesh's book "Curly Like Me" sits on my desk and everytime I get frustrated and an impulse tells me to shave my head, I look at it in hopes that one day my hair will graze the top of my butt.

I can try to post pics but no promises. Im not the most tech savvy. But trust me when I tell you that it had been years since I had a good cut and after a coworker referred her I took the plunge. Shes is AWESOME and anything I say will not do her justice. My hair has shape and the curls fall perfectly. My thin ends are gone but it doesn't look much shorter. I will try my best to post a before/after for you tonight.

This is not the best picture (3rd day hair) but you can see that its shaped nicely and the ends are no longer thinner.

She cut wet but she can cut dry. She is not Deva trained but she said she knows how to do it. After seeing the Deva cut on YT I would not want it done on my hair either way.

    Hi curledlove,
what is the location of the salon? When I try Google it pulls up two different places named "The Strand" and I am not sure which one would be the correct one.
