How to Sleep with Wet Curly Hair????

Hi everyone,
Well, I already read the article on the front page, but I have already tried all of them! You see, I always go to bed with my hair wet because hair dryers do NOT work for my hair lol. Anyways, I've already tried tying my hair in a ponytail, high ponytail, low ponytail, half up half down, two strand twist, two braids, one braid, two fishtails, one fishtail, silk/satin pillowcase, wrapping hair in a scarf, leaving it down (Heck noo!!), and putting it all on the top of my pillow. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I was going to try putting my hair in a million braids and see how it turns out, or try putting it into a ponytail with curlers on the end. I have medium length hair and it seems whatever I do makes the bottom of my hair frizzy! Please don't suggest a scarf because I move around so much in bed that it will just come out.
Thank you so much!

    Satin/silk bonnet?

Have you ever tried scrunching some extra gel or mousse in your hair before you sleep? Gel might reduce some frizz.

I plop in a long sleeve tee overnight and let it air dry the rest of the way in the morning.

The only way I can have wet curls overnight is to put in LI and a little gel, then plop overnight. When I get up I let the plop down, spritz with water, add more gel, (usually in the form of spray gel), scrunch and either air or diffuse dry.

Hey Peachy. I have very fine curls that don't even do well with plopping- they lose their shape. I am also narcoleptic- so I cannot get up on time every day. the ONLY way I've figured out how to have my curls in the morning after showering at night is to pineapple.

I wash my hair and then let it air dry for about an hour. Then I loosely pineapple my hair. My ends are still very curly when I do this. In the morning, I let my hair down and if there is anything out of place in the morning, I wet my hands and finger curl it. I know- it is SO frustrating trying to find the right products and style to get curls in the morning.

    Good luck. :)

Thanks everyone for the replies! I guess next I will try diffusing or pin curling better than I have been. Has anyone had any luck doing these? :thumbright:

Have you tried letting it air dry for a while before going to sleep? I usually shower at least a couple hours before I go to sleep, so my hair is dryer and the gel cast has hardened a bit. Like, it's still very damp, but not soaking wet. Then I pineapple overnight. That works so much better for me than sleeping with very wet hair, because that turns out messy.

I cannot pineapple wet or even damp hair. Only the ends would have a chance or remaining curly. The roots and parts held in the scrunchie would be straight/flattened/possibly crimped. Not to mention dry on the ends but still wet inside the pineapple.
It is so unsuccessful for me that I have a hard time understanding how it would work for anyone, tho clearly it does for many! I just can't see how bc of my issues with it!

I hate going to sleep with wet or damp hair to me it feels uncomfortable. I usually make sure I give myself enough time to dry if I need to wash.

Wet pineappling works really well for me and makes my curls even better. I have a tight curl pattern though and don't mind the back getting stretched as long as the front and top look good and they do.

You could also put a plastic cap on and then a Turbie Twist. Your hair will probably still be completely wet in the morning.

If you want to wake up with dry hair try plopping until bed time and then using a Turbie twist. Turbie twists stay on really well and your hair won't be disturbed.
