Curls for Lazy Morning Girls

Hi! I'm a Curltalkin' newbie on this site and I'd love to know how to have perfect natural curls for school mornings! I'm not the kind of person who can jump in the shower and jump out when I'm tired, so I have to shower at night rather than in the morning. I've diffused my hair on days where I don't have school and my hair looks great! But I don't know how to get that same look without showering and taking so much styling time in the morning. My hair is about halfway down my back and if I let it air dry during the day, it has some waves and some curls that sometimes even look wanded. The only thing is I can't find a way to sleep and get a good look in the morning. My hair always turns out with stretched out messy curls! Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure how realistic this will be for you, but I have seen curlies do their entire routine at night and finish with a plastic cap to keep the hair damp while they sleep. In the morning you can quickly smooth over your hair and allow it to dry during the day.

Yeah, I've tried using a big scarf because I have so much hair! (It's really thick and getting long) I tried it after using a curling want on my hair and it worked pretty well. I can try diffusing it and putting it up in a scarf... I didn't think of it! Thanks!

Have you tried the pineapple method with a satin scarf? Google it. I have short hair so I have not yet used this method but i hear it is the best method to preserve hair/curls for those with longer hair.

This might sound super word, but it has been working really well for me. :) Early evening, I'll take my shower. Then I'll apply products, including gel, clip the roots for volume, and let it air dry while I do my homework. I apply products and style my hair as if I'm going to go out. (Which I'm not.. haha) By the time I go to bed, my hair is most or all the way dry, and the gel is hardened. I don't re-scrunch my hair to take out the gel cast, I leave it hard and put it in a high pony tail or bun, fairly loosely. In the morning, I'll take my hair out of the pony tail/bun and shake my head a bit to loosen it up. It typically looks good already and has more volume. (Note there are no pony tail marks cause you tie it loosely :) I even prefer to use a scrunchy to avoid the marks) Then I'll just take a spray bottle and dampen my hair and apply a little more gel. Then I get dressed.. yadayada. Once my hair is dry, wherever I happen to be, at home, school, work, whatever, I'll just turn my head upside down and re scrunch my dry hair to take out the hardness of the gel, and I have soft bouncy curls :) - also looked wanded sometimes! Hope this helps. Sorry if it's confusing, I'm sort of bad at explaining things sometimes.
