When I log in and click on "view posts since last visit" at least 1/2 of this list consists of porn bot posters. My concern: is some program trying to access my PC and run a process through your site?? I have a very good firewall, but this is scary nonetheless. I haven't seen an infestation this bad on any other forum site, except for the LHC forum that got hacked.
I know NC.com must view this as a serious problem and I would be interested to know what is being done to combat it.

I've posted a few times that we're working hard to combat the bots. We've hired a whiz guy who's working on it as we speak. It's just an attack on our site; it will have no effect on your computer at all.
And hopefully, it will be a thing of the past by mid next week! Grrrrr. In the meanwhile, we're going thru and deleting as fast as we can.
