Lee stafford seasalt spray, whats the deal with ingredients?

Hi there,

I've bought Lee Stafford Beach Babe sea salt spray, I wanted to switch between Jessicurl celebration spray and another curl enhancer because everyday the same products in my hair isn't going to work for me.

at home I took a more closer look at the ingredient list and I have a few questions:

are polyimide-1, polysorbate 20, VP/Va copolymer, tetrasodium EDTA, butylene glycol and sodium hydroxide cones or not CG-Friendly?

Is sunflower seed extract a protein?

I've googled and searched in the search machine, but could't find it. Since I'm on a tight budget since I've started stydig I have to stop being a PJ (:P) and have to buy more budgetproof hair products. I hope you can answer me :)

Thanks :hello2:

None of the ingredients you mentioned are silicones. VP/VA Copolymer, for instance is for hold. You'll find it in a lot of the harder hold gels. The only one you mentioned that might be worrisome is the Sodium Hydroxide, depending on where it is in the list. Sodium Hydroxide is lye (used in soap making, and in relaxers). If it's low in the list, it may just be there as a pH adjuster. A good site to look up ingredients is the Skin Deep Cosmetics Database.

Sunflower extract isn't an "official" protein like amino acids, hydrolyzed items, and straight up proteins are, but it can act like a protein if your hair is protein sensitive.
