About to buy Curl Junkie, experiences?

Currently, I'm using ABBA TrueCurls Shampoo and Conditioner. Both are vegan and free of any chemicals. However, I'm almost out and I cannot get any of these products anymore.

Luckily, I discovered a website that sells a lot of American products, such as Curl Junkie. I've been looking around on this website to see how people like their products and based on that, I'm considering to buy these:
- Curl Junkie Daily Fix Cleansing Conditioner
- Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner
- A Curl Junkie Styling product

I'm a 2c curly (curly hair with straight underlayer). It's really thick and heavy, high density and I believe high porosity. Could anyone perhaps advise me as to whether the products I selected might be recommended for my hair?

Also, I'm still looking for a styling product, but it's hard to choose from the range of Curl Junkie products. As they are expensive, I'd love to hear what you guys think so I can weigh my options before actually buying.

if your hair texture is coarse, it does not like protein. the strengthening conditioner is heavy in protein, so i'd try a different one.

on the curljunkie website, top horizontal menu, click on 'selection guide' and that will give you helpful hints on what your hair may like.

the daily fix is good for all.

    3a, some 2c & 3b, medium texture, porosity normal, low elasticity :-(
washing/cowashing, conditioning, protein tx: curl junkie products
leave in:curl junkie conditioners and treatments as leave in
    styling: curl junkie
sealants - jane carter nourish & shine

Thank you for your quick response! Really helpful :-)

Based on what I read on the Curl Junkie website, I think I might go for the Daily Fix and the Aloe Fix Lite. Does that sound good to you?

Daily Fix is a great product. I'm surprised that the Aloe Fix Lite is still on the selection guide, it's been discontinued. While some places still have it, it doesn't make sense to buy, and like, a discontinued product.

Thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea! Do you have any other Curl Junkie styling product recommendations? I always tend to like creamy substances over mousse or spray.

i would go back to the curjunkie website and look at the conditioners and styling treatments and read the descriptions to help you make a choice.

curl junkie products are designed so that all hair types can find products, but not all products work with all hair types. so if you really know your hair properties you'll be able to make a better choice. i think all her conditioners are hgs for different people. for instance, my daughter and granddaughters' hair love beauticurls leave in. my hair likes it, but mostly needs a heavier leave in. altho i can use it successfully with some of her stylers.

curls in a bottle is a good product. i use it over a leave in. my daughter loves curl queen. honestly, there isn't a bad product on the website, it's a matter of your hair's preferences. so, maybe do a search here on nc for products that you think your hair may like and see what others have to say about it.

a word about texture -- many of us were told by stylists who did not understand curly hair that we had coarse hair. turns out most curlies do not, most are leaning towards fine.

    3a, some 2c & 3b, medium texture, porosity normal, low elasticity :-(

I love CJ products! I have medium, kinky (not coarse) textured hair. Elasticity and porosity are normal.

I can tolerate some protein. I can't use protein rich products very often but small doses like in my gel are good.

If you like creamy curl enhancers, check out the CCCC and the lite version. I really like what the CCCC does for my hair but it makes me itchy.

I also really like the Curl Queen and I mix it with a little BRHG. I like most the of conditioners but I can't use all of them year round due to the glycerin in some.
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Beauticurls, CJ Smoothing

    jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC
gels: CJ CQ, CJ Pattern Pusha, BRHG
