My AARP card arrived in the mail this week.

Sigh.


as if I'll be able to "retire" before 70, if then. But I suppose their name doesn't really mean that much any more.

    I've been getting crap from AARP for 10 years at least (while I was still in my 40's!). They are pretty relentless.
    And don't worry, I'll be working right beside you in my 70's. We will be a bunch of rockin' old biddies greeting people at the walmarts. : )

    --I found NC in late 2004, CG since February 2005, joined the forums in May 2005, started going grey in late 2005.
    --My hair is 3B with some 3A, currently at mid back length when dry,  texture-medium/fine, porosity-top is low, middle is medium, ends are porous, elasticity-normal.
    --My long time favorite products are Suave & VO5 conditioners, LA Looks Sport Gel, coconut oil, honey, vinegar.

    My uncle is 84 and has AARP (not the insurance). He gets some discounts just from having the card. I don't know how much it cost but I don't think it was much. I know he got a deal on his cell phone because he was a member. I guess it's kinda like having AAA for ers and you can get discounts at certain hotels, car rentals, etc type of thing.

    I guess I'll find out in 2 years when I'm 50. So far they aren't knocking on my door.
