Need Help with Hair type and Products

curlykink1curlykink1 Posts: 5Registered Users
Hi
I am new to this and am having a hard time figuring out what hair type I am. I am think 2c, but then the back is bigger curls? I have been straightening my hair for years and it used to be past my shoulders but I just cut it and highlighted it so it is very dry and damaged. The front is what does not hold the curl. And after I shower and put product in with hours it is dry and frizzy with little curl. Please help me with any products that you have found to be successful and what hair type you think I am?
THanks so much

Yup according to this >>> Curly Hair Tips, Styles & Products - NaturallyCurly You look like a strong 2c! It's common to have different curl patterns, but products and even the type of haircut can make certain curls seem less or more curly.

I'd say head on over to the Type 2 thread here on CurlTalk and see what you can find >> 2 - CurlTalk

Curl type changes as you learn to take care of your hair, so is relatively unimportant. Hair properties are much more important for choosing ingredients/products. Here's a link to help you with yours Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics Once you determine your properties, look for others with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.) It's the best place to start.
