I have used it, but I didn't find it to be all that amazing. It was a little hard to get out of my hair (I guess b/c you're supposed to shampoo after), and it's not the best DT I've ever used. If it was cheap, I might repurchase, but Jessicurl and CJ DTs are just as cost-effective and better.

I used to use it, but not as a DT. It's very, very thick. Someone described it as being like a green slug coming out of the tube.

I used it as a leave in, where I would mix a little of this stuff with a silicone serum and maybe a dab of conditioner. So that was back when I was using a silicone serum. Even a little of this stuff will weigh your hair down.

    It smells good.

A lot of people find it hard to work with because it is really thick, almost like shoe wax, and that makes it super hard to distribute on your hair. Also, it goes better on wet hair than dry hair.

Eww a slug? LOL. I saw it today but didn't purchase. Sounds like it would have been a pain to put in and wash out...

I tried to use it as a DT a few years ago... I threw it out immediately...
Trying to get it out of the tube is exhausting & dangerous (mine was the metal tube). LOL, green slug is a great description. It doesn't distribute at all-- with water or without. It made my hair so tangled it hurt trying to put it in & rinsing was a nightmare.
The only good thing I can say is it smells awesome.

Unless they've drastically changed it, it's so not worth the effort.

 That sounds like a hazard!

Well the bottles are now that soft plastic that feels almost rubbery soft to the touch. But I didn't open it to investigate the contents or anything so I don't know if they changed it.

I have two plastic tubes of it (the one I ordered via the internet took forever to come so I bought one at the mall before I received it). It is very thick! Before I went CG, I soaked it on my hair a couple of times for either several hours or overnight, using way more than one tablespoon (maybe 6 or 7? ).

It made my hair softer, but I didn't condition after washing it out with shampoo (usually Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey shampoo; I didn't think I'd need the extra conditioner), so that probably explained why I had a 1-inch layer of frizzies.

I think I'll try using it again by using a lot of it on my hair before going to the beach or swimming. I'll probably have to shampoo the length as well as the scalp to get it out then follow up with conditioner. I just invested in a Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate and Soy Shampoo that I have yet to try, so I'm hoping it'll be gentle yet clean well for that and everyday washing.

Also, some people use the avocado treatment as a leave-in for frizz, but it seems too thick and oily for that IMO. Maybe as a last resort. :?

It didn't do a thing for my hair, it felt looks pretty nasty. I swapped it.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.

I like it as a leave-in. I have fine thin hair but find that scrunching a tiny smidge into my ends actually works well and doesn't weigh me down at all (quite a feat!)
That said, my hair loves glycerin and that's way up there on the ingredients list.

I have a friend with thicker, more coarse hair and she loves it as a styler too.

I also tried and threw it out. I like the idea of using natural products and was hoping I would like it..but it was like putting straight sap in my hair...really gooey

If anyone still has a tube of this they hate, I'd be happy to swap it. I think the stuff is too expensive to buy but I'd still like to have some and my mom really likes it.
Seems a shame for a whole tube to go in the trash!
