What's my hair type?

Hi! so I'm a newbie to this site and am transitioning from relaxed to natural and I am not sure what my hair type is. My mom says a 4c but I'm not sure. What do you think?

    hi heyhey! lol

congrats on deciding to transition! It's kinda hard to tell what your specific hair type is this early in the game, and I usually shy away from typing people's hair when they're just starting out. You're definitely a 4 in general though, so I'd say focus on the things that us type 4s need - moisture moisture moisture!

as the months go by and you start to get some more length, it'll be easier to tell. It does look like your hair has some curl to it, and 4c ladies usually don't have any sort of curl pattern. check this out for some help --> Curly Hair Tips, Styles & Products - NaturallyCurly and also keep in mind that hair texture is a lot more than just curl pattern! --> Curly Hair Tips, Styles & Products - NaturallyCurly

    hope that helped!
