Well, here we go again! My scalp had been doing pretty decent since I started doing weekly brown sugar scrubs but the last couple weeks it's gone downhill. I'm sure it's because of the weather even though winter hasn't really hit North Carolina quite yet (at least the part I live in). I'm thinking of upping my sugar scrubs to twice a week but is there any harm in doing them more often? Thanks!! :afro:

I'm on the same boat as you...especially being a North Carolinian with this weather, haha. Scrubs slough off the dead skin before it can flake off, so while they're helpful, they act as more of a treatment rather than preventative. If I moisturize my scalp, it usually helps it from flaking in the first place. To do that, I usually rub in some light leave-in.

    HTH!

Thanks Dresden! I'm in the RTP area so it keeps going from warm to cold and back again every few days. Usually I try to do a scalp massage with either some argan oil or almond oil the nights before I wash my hair but not I'm not always super consistent. I think I'll try to be more on the ball with that and see what happens. I've also started eating walnuts and other nuts more as well as taking multi vitamins with a little bit higher amount of zinc in them. Hopefully all that helps!!!
